So I was talking to my corp and looking on the forum... Seeing things like "SECRET NEW LAND OF NOT-JOVIAN OMGZOR!", "EXPLORE TEH WORLDS OF EVENESS AND SEE STUFFS!", etc etc. I wondered if there were any easter eggs in EVE. I know of the obelisk in a system somewhere, and I've heard of other wierd, but obviously (?) not true stories...
I just wondered if there were any real easter eggs in the world of EVE, and if so, does anyone have a screenshot of them/it?
(For anyone who doesn't know, an easter-egg is a hidden ingame special something, that was put in just for fun (like the system named "JB-007"))

I think the subliminal messages are in the music.....as it sounds like some peaceful music its really telling you to buy eve swag and play more and seduce your friends into playing.....and to praise satan AKA TomB......

System EWOK-K in Pure Blind is my favorite system name.
There are also a few monuments that relate to events in some of the chronicles, and also in orbit over the 5 capital planets of the four empires (Calderi Prime/New Calderi Prime), but only a few things like that.

I think I heard a dev say somewhere that all those "hidden complexes" are actually mission complex of other players. They said they never intentionally put in any deep space hidden complex in the game.

comment on JB-007 well there are many systems that have wierd names while traveling from curse to Impass.
Like:
I-8DOG (I ATE DOG)
F4R2-Q (Far too Q'te?)
HY-RWO (Hero)
Then there is the 1st curse system from catch OSHT-A wich is kinda appropriate (O SH**)
there are loads of 0.0 systems with funky names.
Sigga and Nonni are icelandic nicknames for people named Sig- something (sigrf=ur sigurr=s sigurborg sigurbj÷rg sigurlfn etc.) and J=n (icelandic for john)
Andabiar always reminds me of Andabµr (ducktown)
but easter-eggs as in easter-eggs? nah dont think so :S

Have a couple of screens but not many, I took my corp out a little while ago to see loads of stuff around eve...I asked in forum somewhere but i cant find it now :(
In the end we went to...
Friggi - There is a Cold Water Spring here, looks a bit like Stone Henge... Also there is a casino hidden in a rock formation and other really cool things...
Amarr - Ammar Monument (One of these in each of the 4 races home systems)
Shastal - City Of God... Interesting ruins which once stood proud.
Luminaire - Gallente Monument
Dead End - Monolith
New Eden - eve gate
New Caldari - Ceremonial Grounds...
there are loads more but i forgot to write them down... a couple of systems around Friggi have some cool stuff too...

I dont know if its intentional but if you understand swedish you will find that there are quite a few system, constallation and similar names that to be honest are really dirty :)
I dont know how much difference there really is between Swedish and Icelandic but I expect they know about thise systems and have left them in there, after all scandinavian countries arent as upptight about dirty words as most other countries and regions.

okay it was one of the earliest 'things' I came across, chuckled, took photo's, told my buddy etc.
It (there may be more - who knows) is in Osmeden system, constellation Beyt, region Placid.
I was (am?) noob (whoops this is my alt lol) so I approached it in my dinky frigate and lol got stuck! I couldn't get away! Intentional? F knows, I just couldn't power away from it, gravity?? By the way it rotates and when you're in a frig hell is it big!. My buddy was laughing, in the end I had to invoke the ancient powers of EarthMicroBillBates and crashed out of Eve, spinning away in an uncontrollable giggle (and I thought an Esc Key was for storing Quafe?!)

I had a mission last night that was in a deadspace area, though it had no acceleration gate as a few missions are. Anyway, I noticed in the overview as I was collecting loot there was a sign. The sign says "Warning - watch out for this sign". The description of the sign is "why?"
