So I was talking to my corp and looking on the forum... Seeing things like "SECRET NEW LAND OF NOT-JOVIAN OMGZOR!", "EXPLORE TEH WORLDS OF EVENESS AND SEE STUFFS!", etc etc. I wondered if there were any easter eggs in EVE. I know of the obelisk in a system somewhere, and I've heard of other wierd, but obviously (?) not true stories...
I just wondered if there were any real easter eggs in the world of EVE, and if so, does anyone have a screenshot of them/it?
(For anyone who doesn't know, an easter-egg is a hidden ingame special something, that was put in just for fun (like the system named "JB-007"))

I feel like I should know this...but I don't. I don't get JB-007...what is that?
And I know I'm going to want to slap myself for not knowing once I find out too...

I dont know if you can really call it easter eggs, but there are hidden complex's in a few low sec systems.

There is an item in the game that refines to 1337 trit, I'll leave it to you to find out which.

The only easter eggs i've found are the PWNAGE/PWNT/PWN named target painters.
There are also a few subliminal messages in EVE, like the "You must play EVE you MUST play" message in Gallente stations.

I think the subliminal messages are in the music.....as it sounds like some peaceful music its really telling you to buy eve swag and play more and seduce your friends into playing.....and to praise satan AKA TomB......

System EWOK-K in Pure Blind is my favorite system name.
There are also a few monuments that relate to events in some of the chronicles, and also in orbit over the 5 capital planets of the four empires (Calderi Prime/New Calderi Prime), but only a few things like that.

1. 95% of Empire Carebears don't get 0.0 PVPers.
2. 95% of 0.0 PVPers don't get Empire Carebears.

I think I heard a dev say somewhere that all those "hidden complexes" are actually mission complex of other players. They said they never intentionally put in any deep space hidden complex in the game.

Its osht-a down in Curse. Famous system. Still remember sitting in a Stain gang in u-q, and hearing reports, here they come, local is filling up, 200 in local now. Old CA 4tw :)

comment on JB-007 well there are many systems that have wierd names while traveling from curse to Impass.
Like:
I-8DOG (I ATE DOG)
F4R2-Q (Far too Q'te?)
HY-RWO (Hero)
Then there is the 1st curse system from catch OSHT-A wich is kinda appropriate (O SH**)
there are loads of 0.0 systems with funky names.
Sigga and Nonni are icelandic nicknames for people named Sig- something (sigrf=ur sigurr=s sigurborg sigurbj÷rg sigurlfn etc.) and J=n (icelandic for john)
Andabiar always reminds me of Andabµr (ducktown)
but easter-eggs as in easter-eggs? nah dont think so :S
