In case you didn't know :) The requirement's been set to IV instead. Nothing else has changed, but that's still a lot of training we won't have to do.

Squad Command V was the deal breaker for me. If it stays at IV, then I'll be training for T2 BC

Concur with TSDS pilot. Squadron IV I will train for. V was a bit silly.

Even though I already have Squadron Command V, I have to agree with the consensus here.
Has the requirements for both command ships been changed or just the field command variety? -----------------------------------------------

How is changing the skill requirement changing anything? If it was going to be the "new HAC" it was going to be it regardless of the skill requirements. All it meant was that charismatic characters would have a monopoly over them. That hardly makes their role special. -----------------------------------------------

We cant have a select few running around in them mate, or they will be unstoppable solopwnmobiles.
Giving more people the chance to fly them means that most small fleets should comprise at least one or two T2 BC's, rather than one side having a single one and pwning the other.
Its much more fair this way I think. ____________________________________________

Well, I wasn't going to train for them with Squadron command 5 until i maxed my charisma learning skills, Hell, now i won't even bother training to use modules on them and just use the Gallente/min HAC version and kill everything in sight.
Go balance!

Actually, Hacs do kill everything in sight, Did i mention the numbers of hac in my statement?
A fat clumbsy, so Cyclone with vagabond like bonuses, Can't go wrong with that, when it has the ability to shield tank like a monster.

Great change ^^ the number of lvl.5 requirements on these ships was really really high... they're much more reasonable now. \o/

I must say that i am almost disappointed, No i do not have even squadron command 1 or an particulary high charisma stat but it seemed fitting that those ships needed very high charisma stats if for no other reason than to reward people that had labored with high charisma for their entire career and that had explored an underused skill tree.
On the other hand my skill training went from two months or more to one month so i guess i cannot complain too much.

I'm a little disappointed at this. People with HACs (numerous) will have a much quicker time to get into a Field Command Ship.
With the skill required at V instead of IV, the Field Commands will be MUCH more exclusive, which, I think, is proportional to their inherent abilities.
This move brings the Field Command Ships to the (relative) masses.
I have a hunch that we'll be seeing a few too many of these ships in the near future.

So does anyone have the specs on the ships yet or is that still to far out?

Well, let's see...4 ships, 20 BPO's each, 2 made each week per bpo....160 ships produced a week. Yeah, there should be plenty

Well, this will lower the price of HACs, but raise the price of BC 2s.
Dunno if I like that or not.

bah, thats lame. Make people work for it if they want to fly these ships. People said hacs were going to be insane before, think of what they would have said back then if they saw THESE ships. CCP please change it back to 5 : / I was planning on training for them, and was perfectly fine with training the skill to 5, i dont even have it at level 1 atm, but when i finally get in one and pilot it, I want to know that I spent a damn long time waiting for it, and not just anyone with some isk and a couple weeks will be able to jump right in

I don't like it, for the reasons already stated by others.
Even if this change makes me eligible to fly them.

Now all they need to do is drop the Capital Ships prereq of Advanced Spaceship Command 5 down to 4 and i'll be happy. Stupidly high prereq on a skill that is as useful as Empire Control just makes it not worth my while, even if it does cause me to miss out on using Carriers.

"Make people work for it if they want to fly these ships."
Why, isn't Battlecruiser lvl.5, Cruiser lvl.5, Leadership lvl.5, Spaceship Command lvl.5, Weapon Upgrades lvl.5, Mechanic lvl.5 and Engineering lvl.5 (along with multitude of other skills on lower levels) enough of work already..?
They are middle-class ships, even if tech.2 ... and no, it's not going to take couple weeks to get into one of them for someone who haven't been playing for half a year or more already. Just because many people happen to have pre-requisities trained shouldn't be a reason to screw everyone who wasn't lucky enough to join the game long time ago... :/

With level 5, at least you might use them as 'command ships' and not as another better, stronger hac.
