My goal since I started has always been to be a "outlaw" in the game, a pirate... a ganker, a notorious Rancer gatecamper.. etc etc. Since forever I've been switching back and forth between PvP lowsec/0.0 roaming corps, RvB and Faction Warfare... in other games, mainstream PvP like this would be my focus, but other games are determined by incentive of rank... organized and competitive competition, but this is a sandbox there is no incentive... just do it for the thrill of the moment. FW is stale.. people plexing for Isk, people roaming around with their friends looking for WT's, and bored neutral gangs roaming for a piece of the entertainment without having to commit themselves (usually hisec PvE carebears taking a break). RvB is.. just about the lowest form of PvP in the game, usually consists of waiting for other side to aggress before jumping on him and then hoping you can kill him before he is able to dock... no opportunity for tear collection here, no profit to be made, very repetitive and stale. PvP roaming corps... I have a certain level of respect for the very organized FC's who run these, they do what they do very well... which is command fleets around lowsec and 0.0 looking for other fleets to fight... but that's basically it. As I switch between these activities... sometimes in my dock I think.. "ok, today is the day I become a pirate, a suicide ganker, a gate camper".... today is the day I gank somebody hauling 2bil in implants... today is the day I kill a mission drake daring to jump into a 0.4 system for a mission... So I leave RvB/FW, appropriately fit my Harbinger... Oracle or Navy Slicer... Clicks Undock... Ok, so... what now? I have no "friends to speak of"... no connections with the same goals as me, where do I go from here?... Hmm well, I've messed up my employment history, the previous owner of my pilot messed up the killboard stats... so I don't really have the option to apply for a like-minded corp... If I jump into Rancer I'll be killed by a bigger and badder pirate. I don't have the Alpha of a Tornado so I can't solo gank, nor do I have anybody to loot for me. I don't have the scouting tool set for scanning down mission runners for mission flipping. No miners to gank in lowsec. Docks up and rejoins Amarr militia. sigh

You will most likely be a joke than a pirate. Remember that mission drake has been jumping into 0.4 a lot and you are not the only one with a few guns and an ego that he has encountered.

I'll even give you a hint, go out and fly and get blown up. That more "experienced" pirate in your post only got that way by doing the same. You won't get any better or fulfill what you want to do in the game unless you do it. Lol KB stats don't matter either. Just fly your ship and play the damn game. Oh, If you fly long enough and get better and start blowing things up..your kb stats will improve if they are that important to you. Soup

Not only do we gank, but it's also a great place to network with other like-minded people and groups. Some even go on to make the transition to low or nullsec corps. Very few players achieve this and those that do are dedicated and hardened. Solo players spends A LOT of time scouting and finding targets, or even more time sat on a gate waiting for the one time someone does fly through carrying a boatload of isk in the cargo also in a ship you can catch and with the ability to pick up all the cargo in a non hauling ship. My advice to you is go join a pirate corp like goons, someone who is known to do what you want to do in Eve, ganking is usually a team effort, solo ganking can be done podding people killing indy ships in HS and such but to be ganking people carrying 2bil in cargo more than once a blue moon, well, you need friends, tactics and co-ordination. Stop being a "I can't" and become a "I can". Practice on less valuable targets in HS in destroyers and such. A thrasher is a very old and effective tool to get to grips with and will help you get some tears flowing by the end of the day. FW is not the PVP you are looking for!

I have tried the solo low-sec thing, and it's good fun, but the low-sec gate gun mechanic makes it somewhat tricky, you are going to need an alt and you are going to need isk to burn. You are going to have a hard time making any profit apart from bounties and loot, and unless you have good pvp skills that is probably not going to cover what you lose, but it's still fun and you get some intense fights do to the added damage from gate guns. If you are look for a way to make a profit, maybe you should consider hi-sec wars and extortion. I've not tried it myself, but when flying solo it might be a better choice. I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

Get an alt for scouting, you can do it, something can be done, its possible to make friends, just kill people maybe chose the ones you want to kill then own them and ask them that you are looking for a corp. You need to play smart, Thats what you are missing, spend Time doing it and anything is possible.

I have 5 different chars that I play. This may be my main, or maybe not. I have no idea.
