Which is almost certainly wrong. The Gallente are supposed French-ish, so they'd pronounce it GALL-ont. Which doesn't sound as good if you ask me.

I always pronounce it with the "tay" on the end. But now that I say it to myself and listen, It seems I say it like this:
gah LEN tay -- Capilization to indicate stress.

I say Gah - lent. Gah-lent-eee bugs me but Gah-lent-ay is probably the correct version.

i used to say GALL-ENT as i thought that the E at the end should be silent.
but now after hearing eveyone else on ts for over 2 years i say GAL-ENT-AY

The Gallente descend from the French, so I guess their name and products sound a bit French .
Quality in French is pronounced "kalitT" (qualitT), so I assume Quafe is pronounced "kafT", which sounds a lot like coffee (French for coffee is "cafT"). Perhaps Quafe is nothing more than a new brand of coffee?

I have a tendancy not to read things carefully, so before I saw the intro movie, I pronounced Gallente Gal-ant-ey
Also, I pronounced Amarr Amraa, Minmatar Minamatar and Caldari Caladari

I saw the official movie where it was pronounced Gallentay but that wasn't said by a member of the Gallente so I'm not sure.
Someone told me that the race were supposed to be like the French of the far flung future so then I thought maybe it should be pronounced Gallahnt.
If it was written GallentT then I'd be happy with the first way of saying it. *shrugs*
I'm not going to lose any sleep over it though

And he's Caldari. Hasn't got a cat in hell's chance of pronouncing it right, especially after losing his homeworld to them.

Perhaps it should be pronounced as the Gallardo (Lamborghini), it's Ga-yar-do, and therefore Ga-yen-te.
But also as one said before, they are 'french', and probably it should be read as teh french would read it.
