I increased the polling to once every fifteen seconds and still ran into polling errors on the fifth to seventh poll.

Hey Squizz,
For some reason our Alliance, Monkeys with Guns. is not included in your faction page. We've been in FW for over a year now though. Is there something we have to do to get included in that? |

I have to do some creating guesswork to determine who's involved in Faction Warfare since the information isn't included in the API. At a glance, it seems only a couple of your corps are active enough to be marked as participating in Faction Warfare.
... roughly 5 minutes later ...
There, I made some tweaks. Now if any corp in an alliance is marked as involved in FW, all corps in that alliance will be marked as involved in FW. And now I see BNANA listed :)

If/When there is an API available for DUSTies I'll look into it. Until then I can't really give any sort of answer :/ Various projects I enjoy putting my time into: http://eve-kill.net | http://zkillboard.com | http://evewho.com | http://evechatter.com | http://skillq.net |

First I want to say, thanks for doing a great work.
Would you mind sharing with us how you get the join and leave times? Or even make them appear together with the name etc. when using your lovely API?
Cheers. |

I'm guessing you're referring to characters and when they join/leave a corp? You can get a characters join/leave time from the CharacterInfo API, EveWho doesn't provide this information since CCP already does. If this isn't what you were looking for ask again! :) Various projects I enjoy putting my time into: http://eve-kill.net | http://zkillboard.com | http://evewho.com | http://evechatter.com | http://skillq.net |

Hey,
I have a suggestion that I don't think should be too complicated to implement.
It would be really neat if you could take an entire corp or alliance and import all members into your address book. This is of course for when you need to add all your war targets on watch list.
The IGB Javascript API has support for adding characters to the address book: https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/IGB_Javascript_Methods#addContact_Method
Programatically it's probably just simply a matter of looping over all characters in the corp/alliance and calling the function. Unfortunately it seems like you can't actually edit who's on the watch list via the API, but quickly and automatically adding them to the address book is a large step on the way.
Similarly it could be nice to be able to remove all members from a corp/alliance (for when the war is over). But this is more for extra credit. |

EveWho has downloaded over 1.4 million portraits from the old avatar server. These portraits can be seen just by searching for your character and then click the hyperlink just under the main character image.
Currently in progress: EveWho is checking older characters to see if they don't have a new image, if they don't, and they do have an older image, the older image will be displayed instead.
I hope you enjoy this little addition. :) Various projects I enjoy putting my time into: http://eve-kill.net | http://zkillboard.com | http://evewho.com | http://evechatter.com | http://skillq.net |

Has EveWho lost any information recently? Pilots with corp history that was previously displayed on the site now have none and corps I know that have had significant movement in members are showing a distinct lack of joiners and leavers.
By recently, I mean maybe in the last week or two - can't be certain when I last checked it.

Glad it's not just me then! If an example is needed, you can use this character. There doesn't seem to be any corp history on EveWho but there's a dozen entries in the employment history tab in-game.

I recently had a drive go bad on the EveWho server and the RAID didn't do its job. If it wasn't for backups everything would have been lost!
The history table is HUGE, and in the interest of getting the site up quickly I skipped re-importing that table. The website rebuilds that table on the fly, anyhow, and it takes less than a week to do so.
Also, I've since switched EveWho to a new server with SSD drives - so if you thought it was already fast its even faster now.
Enjoy! Various projects I enjoy putting my time into: http://zkillboard.com | http://evewho.com | http://eve-kill.net | http://evechatter.com | http://skillq.net |

Holy crap man, thanks for putting all these resources into this. To run a server like that with no income from ads or anything is no small cost. That must be a lot of money out-of-pocket you're dumping into this. When I created EVE-Intelligence years ago (released a couple months before you did EveWho, did the same thing) I charged a bit of ISK for it so I could at least play the game for free to offset the server cost, but this is a great service to see now. This is not the signature you're looking for. |

So as to reduce hits to the site and hopefully do one json call, do you support multiple corp requests in one url request on the API? I tried a couple variations such as: http://evewho.com/api.php?type=corporation&id=1018389948+1000009 or with a comma, space or multiple ID fields. Is this a feature that is not supported?
