Thorax is one of the best cruisers ingame now. Slap on a plate, some small named guns, some hardeners and you have a mean cruiser. With the plate changes,will it still be worth putting on a 1600mm plate and having 4000+ armor, or will it be better to have medium guns and a dmg mod? Since it is going to get 100 more pg, will guns be more dmging than its drones?
Vexor is a very decent ship for its cost, having the ability to field 15 med drones out, with the drone changes, how is the vexor going to be affected. Also, any new ideas and setups for any of the gallente cruisers will be appreciated for the upcoming rmr patch.

Thorax will still be able to put a 1600mm plate, but it'll become very clumsy. And equivalent of 4 current heavy drones + small blasters won't be that good anyway. With the pg increase it'll be able to fit med blasters now, and will perform quite good.
With the drone changes, Vexor will be able to field 5 med drones out, which will do the damage of 15 current med drones (well, actually more damage, as light and med drones damage are boosted with RMR, and there's this new rank 2 skill increasing damage of light and med drones like heavy drones skill does to heavy drones).

with the change the vexor is getting a large boost
getting a grid boost so it can fit better tank/more nos. and with the way the drone bays are changin you can fit 3 heavy drones which are equiv to 9 currrent heavy drones with maxed skills

The plate changes are mostly to prevent exactly that... putting a battleship plate onto a cruiser. You could still do it after RMR goes live (unless they've fiddled the pg needs) but you'd be slower/easier to hit, i think. So more powerful guns and a damage mod look like the way to go, as that's the way it's meant to be.
Oh, and it's getting a drone bay nerf. Much smaller, so its main damage will be from guns.
The vexor will be more powerful after RMR. It has lost the ability to field 15 drones at once (as all ships can now launch no more than 5 at once, if ther drone bay holds that many). Instead it has bonuses to make the drones more damage, so a vaexor with drones V, drone interfacing V and gal cruiser V will do the same damage with its drones before and after the patch. Individual drones are tougher, and drone skills/modules are coming out, so the vexor is getting a good boost. It can also hold more waves of drones in reserve than it can now.
No setup ideas though, as i've not tested gal ships on singularity very much.

Anyone done the math on RMR medium drones for the vexor with top tier skills? Med drone damage bonus 5, gall cruiser 5, drone interfacing 5, drones 5. I've a feeling it will be pretty absurdly high.

If you have something against the drones (web plus small rails e.g.) you could beat the vexor. The longer combat in RMR may give you the time to shoot down all drones b4 he get through you structure.
As always in EVE: depends on your fitting

took out a brutix solo :p (thats with 3 heavy drones and onyl hvy drones lvl 4, drone int lvl 4)
