Since so many want Eve Online to be like WoW, I believe its time for CCP to hire actors for spokespeople.
Wow had Mr.T. Who didn't subscribe because of him? I wanted to be a Night Elf Mohawk super bad after those commercials!
I believe its time for CCP to contact Matt Damon and give him an account, and put him in a commercial for Eve Online. It doesn't even have to be Matt Damon (Although that Elysium movie is coming out soon...and he will be all science fiction hero soon), it can be any number of celebrities. Id love to see Christopher Walken make a commercial about Eve, or even Bruce Willis! Who wouldn't scramble to hand over a years sub if James Earl Jones told you about ganking miners!

Perhaps Tricia Helfer from Battlestar Galatica, she made walking toasters look so good. Or how can we forget her performance as EDI in Mass Effect 2 and especially Mass Effect 3 when she took over that cyborg body? I know we have the new "Origins" trailer from CCP, but I actually liked the first one and perhaps have Tricia be the voice narrator for a modernized remake of it. Heck, Halo made an AI projection of Cortana look good, why not have Ms. Helfer as the new Aura or ship/game AI voice? Just a thought... |

2 possible commercials:
1) Show a retriever getting ganked. Fade out to Patrick Stewart throwing his headset across the room. His face red with anger he stands up to punch his screen, then stops and goes deadpan.

2) Cut to panda fight scene from WoW. After a few seconds, have a red dot appear on the pandas back. Zoom out quickly to a DUSTbunny a mile away on a hill top with a lazer designator. Zoom out quickly to orbit where a Cormorant sits. Show targeting animation on planet below and then the cormorant fires. Follow tactical rail charge to ground where Panda village is destroyed in fireball. Fade to real life where MR T is sitting at computer smiling.

Who the spokesperson is depends on what aspect of Eve a given advertisement is pushing, as there are many different aspects.
- Chuck Norris would be good for the "Crime and punishment" aspect (Walker Texas Ranger thing) - show a CONCORD ship with a Texas Ranger emblem on it for the win.
- Kiefer Sutherland good voice over for the cloak and dagger aspect.
- Liam Neeson overall great voice for any advertisement emphasizing the "revenge" aspect of Eve.
- and last but not least, Mel Gibson in any Eve commercial having audio of any alliance leader going into a complete nerd-raging rantalanche over a super loss, complete with foul language.
