Edited by: Kalhan on 14/08/2003 18:13:17 Does the Bann on fighting in 1.0 Systems include Corp war fights??
And Can you wage war on CONCORD??
Also would it be an exploit for a large Pirate corp like m0o to Wage war on a school then go to the schools 1.0 system and kill there members?

You can't. If you can - oh my. I'll declare war at 3 schools and start killing those damn ore thieves.

when at war you can attack them anywere, and they can attack you anywere, its a 2 way street.

HOWEVER, if they petition that you killed them in a 1.0 sec system you will get a warning, and if they find you killed multiple poeple, you will get banned.

If you have an official declaration of war against a corp you can fire at will, whether in or out of 1.0 systems. However, don't get carried away and shoot anyone besides the people in the warring corp. You'll get messed up. And no, they don't allow you to wage war against schools. Killing noobs will always be wrong.

I take it TTI will be moving back into 1.0 space now?

As far as i know Corp wars and any other pvp that does not cause a sec hit is legal in 1.0 space.
PK'ing is not.

Snide TTI jibes aside, if it IS true that any agression in 1.0 space is met with stern warnings/bannings, then the plague of afk miners will reach epic proportions.
Imagine a megacorp. just setting up 2 Apocs per belt in Todaki with Miner 2's and a nice macro setup?
All it'd take is 10 or 12 giant secure containers per Apoc and you're set.
I'm still waiting for confirmation about the "no aggression in 1.0" thing though - I'd rather not trust the words of Molly-The-Sheep.

Edited by: Macumba on 14/08/2003 19:47:13 If it is true then it kind of gives corp wars a good kick in the nuts.
It's bad enough enticing people out of stations. Having to convince them to come out of that fluffy 1.0 is going to be nigh on impossible.
Only one way to find out I suppose.

No... you CAN initiate agression against players in 1.0 space. No, you wont get a warning about it UNLESS you have a -10.0 sec rating and are taking advantage of the exploit. When your sec rating drops in 1.0 space the police show up in ~5 seconds and blast you. At least that has been our experience.

I have a feeling this is the case.
Perhaps CCP should improve their logging system so they can check someones sec status pre-and-post attack - then it would be easy enough to point the sticky finger of DOOM.
Also, CONCORD should be made virtually impossible to defeat unless you outnumber them 3 to 1.
In real-life cops always ultimately outgun any crims.

Edited by: Bad Harlequin on 14/08/2003 20:00:57 As it stands:
Wars prevent *a loss of sec status* when aggressing a - uh... a Waree :). Remember which is the function and which is the byproduct... not tryng to be snippy, just illustrating what seems to be the clearest way to picture it.
Frex:
Attacking someone in highsec space doesn't bring CONCORD, never has. *Security loss* is the trigger.
Meanwhile, PKing... as well as say splash damage that we all know and love :) - loses you sec status. That's what "actually happens." CONCORD reacts to that.
IN wars, the sec hit never happens - hence, no CONCORD, but that's also why you gots ta be REAL careful not to splash anyone or anything else... because that will lose you sec status.
With me so far? =8).
Someone with -10 sec rating
IS NOT EXPLOITING
when attacking a War-declared pilot, because the exploit is that they don't get the sec hit they're supposed to. When attacking someone you're at war with you're not supposed to - therefore, no exploit.
But, again, beware splashing... anything.
If CCP is changing ANY of the above, there needs to be clear, concise, and swift communication. We can't all sit on our thumbs in stations wondering if the rules have changed every hour or so!
While Ywev is funny, he's feeding you FUD. Ignore it.

Just to clarify things:
A -10.0 sec player attacking someone he is NOT at war with does not receive a sec loss and therefore CONCORD do not react.
That IS an exploit.
