well I guess some things have to be discovered by yourself.
and it's perhaps better to find a quiet system instead of a crowded system. Better being able to mine without having to worry about empty belts

If you jump into a cruiser before you have the skills to use it properly (which I doubt you have after less than 2 weeks) you are bound to loose it quickly. Better stick to that frigate for a bit longer if you ask me.

Edited by: Asestorian on 12/12/2005 15:28:19 In safe space I would imagine the best ores are Kernite and Pyroxeres, Kern being the better of the two.
As for systems, I have no idea, but look for a quiet 0.7 and below system.

Is there a website somewhere that gives ore-types present in systems?
So I can look it up myself

There's no way to know what you need to know. What race are you? Where are the closest systems to you? If you're under two weeks old then you probably won't be going out to lowsec or 0.0 (where the best ore is), so the best ore you're going to find is .5 and in an unskilled cruiser you may have difficulty with the rats. Just look for close by .5 systems (if you think you can handle the npcs) ideally with low traffic and mine the best stuff you can find there.

Just Micklaine. You know, like Madonna. Or Cher. Or other people who forgot to give themselves last names at character creation. |

Mark my words... within 2 weeks we will see the OP complaining about how he was "unfairly" podded in low-sec and lamenting the loss of his ill-fitted cruiser.

Domain ore:
>0.5 Veldspar, Scordite, Pyroxeres, Kernite
<0.5 adds Jaspet in 0.4 and I think Hemorphite and Gneiss lower down

I like Omber (golden and silver when you can find it) as a great starting ore. I have found it in as high at .7 space. Isogen is going for a good rate in Heimatar. Check out www.evegeek.com here or in your ingame browser. It has some good ore breakdown of what's in what. Sometimes it's better to just sell the whole rock, instead of refining it. You need to shop around.
