Nice Outpost; We took it.
In the glorious system og JU-OWQ, there was a IRON refining Outpost, its ours, we took it.
The insane commander who decided on a whim saturday after downtime that we should take the outpost is hereby classified as insane. No preparations, no planning, just... "DUDES! LETS TAKE IT!". 2 days later, we have it. Go BoB.
For all the pilots in BoB who made this happen; I Vuwww j00 all. Dedication.
It's done, its over, we have it. Now, here's the opportunity for all you carebears....
WANTING TO SELL; 1 Refining Outpost, 16 POS anchored to go with it. Pricetag? A measly 15 billion is all we ask. And just so you know, this is not a joke, this is totally serious. Contact Galavet, Blacklight or Shrike, or any known director of BoB to cut the deal. Theres some minor details in the contract as well that wont be made public.
I can see a lot of you asking "Why did you take it if you are going to sell it?!?!?!?", the answer is simple. Because we can.
We took it, who wants it?

i miss out on the coolest stuff when i sleep,
i took a nap and missed the dread kill, i came home and logged on for a few hours and went to sleep only to awake and find that we own the outpost.

Some details won't be made public, however:
1 - Anyone that can't defend an outpost shouldn't be looking to buy or build one (kinda common sense, no?)
and 2 - there are very few groups in this game that can do what they want and without calling in favours from mulitple alliances, we're one of them.

That "if" is kinda the keyword, isn't it.
You spend billions on outpost, you'd be a fool to try to protect it with anything less.
But then have fun "retaking quickly" with that kind of defense (and week-long timer for sovereignty switch)

I bet they counted on Sovereignity changes tomorrow. Bummer for them the patch got delayed - now G and IRON have a chance to take it back. Well executed, but fairly lame if this was indeed the thought behind it.
IMO CCP should have frozen all sovereignity for like two weeks before patch deployment to prevent exactly this. I'm betting more systems will get zerged with small PoS this week to quickly claim sovereignity and then have a week to put a bunch of large PoS up to actually keep it.
Still, pretty funny they let it happen... Doesn't your mailbox scream 'ENEMY PoS ANCHORED IN YOUR OUTPOST SYSTEM' all day :-)

Re-read SirMolle's post, this wasn't premeditated, this was simply a whim of our leaders who wondered how easy it would be to take an outpost.
Iron's resistance was none. They think that installing G inside ASCN territory is more important than keeping their own territory clean.
This is what happens when your eyes get too big for your belly.

However, I find it hard to swallow you didn't have the planned Sov changes in mind when doing it.

Think it was more of "hey we killed a dread and it's only friday... what else can we do to make G/IRON's weekend even more sucky?" kind of impulse ^^;
(i mean, if G/IRON actually tries to take it back, won't it just make it even more fun... -.o
