This is a repost of the information found in the News Item of the same name.
Red Moon Rising, CCP's free content and improvement expansion for EVE Online, will be deployed on Wednesday, 14 December. At 2000 GMT, Tranquility will be taken down. Due to the size of this deployment, we are estimating the update will take approximately 24 hours. We will do everything possible to hit this target, but if there are unforseen issues, the downtime may extend beyond that time period. Wednesday's maintenance period will occur as normal before the deployment.
Patch Notes have been posted for review. Please take a few minutes to read them, as the Notes include an introduction to Red Moon Rising; the new content, changes, improvements and fixes that will be added.
During the initial half of the deployment, the My EVE pages and the forums will not be available due to server and database updates.

I'd just like to say that I have an exam on Thursday. Thank you CCP for saving my academic career. I would probably been playing eve on wednesday night instead of studying, but now i have no choice but to study.

\o/ for patch... but 12+ hours with no forums o.o;;
and 24+ with no tranquility... reckon test server is highly likely to implode from overload meantime >>;

fantastico. ah well, training of a rank 10 skills to 5 isn't REALLY bothered by not being checked every five minutes for 24 hours

thank you for another great free expansion to a quality game.

Darnit. CCP said the patch would go in on THURSDAY and I planned my skill training accordingly. I had a skill set to finish tommorrow night, now I have to remember to switch to a long skill tomorrow morning, before my current skill finishes
