But if anyone can calculate what odds it would be of an agent giving you a nice new T2 ship bpo interesting to see.

I did a voodoo dance for you. When you log in after RMR, you'll have a shiny T2 BPO. My fee is 10% :).

Thats one of the things I don't like about the lottery system but it is also one of the good things about it (I know, contradiction in terms). Because it isn't transparent, you cant play it. It's genuinely random in that sense. If I knew what the odds were on various things, I would stack my chips appropriately. Well, I can't with the lottery. I never know just how much of a waste of time my research missions actually are - anyway faith based gaming isn't much fun. I assume every character in Eve has at least 5 agents running. Assume 10k accounts are all running Amarrian Starship Engineering (for example) and you'll get some idea of the rather small odds of picking up a BP.

Going by what the devs said, only a few thousand people have research agents, and 25% have less than 2000 RPs. And they're spread around all the fields.
There are way too many in Caldari Starship Engineering, however.

it has been stated with this patch that t2 BPCs will drop from agents (no idea if LP or RP ones) and on some top tier commander spawn drops in rare circumstances - those R.A.M chips and D.Db ones will start to drop just a lot less then before - i know exactly where to get them to :)

I've just finished doing bizarre voodoo rituals around my 50k Gallente Starship Engineering points. The spirits assure me that I'll be getting more BPO offers than I know what to do with.

I dont know about a ship BPO but I worked out there is about a 1 in 166 chance of a BPO in RMR if I've been told the right numbers of BPO's going into the game.
So not as bad as you might think :)

by agent drops i mean blue print copies allowing u to have 1-10 runs of said object - more ppl with these and the correct skills will leadto some price competition

What makes the odds hard is that for each person that accepts a new BPO, there RP's are used up for that agent.
So my bet is that those with obscene numbers of research points will get one and cash out early, in effect, opening up the field for those people with fewer RP's. And considering if they just give 20, normal, of each T2 ship BPO that is 560 T2 ship BPO's, I bet near to everyone who has more then a few 1000 RP's will get a BPO.
Incidentally I have 10k in fields other then startship engineering, just didn't like the odds of those buggers. So I am wondering how many equipment T2 BPO's are being seeded. ;)
