I can understand perhaps tanking Caldari standing might suck because of Jita but factions like Amarr, Anmatar, is this really important?

My characters are all about -10 to gallente from doing lvl5s. Doesn't really matter since they are also pirate. If you don't have logistcs alt or corp/alliance to help with moving ships it can be a hassle living in low sec/0.0 bordering empire region of unfriendly faction.

Tag missions are nice ISK since many people avoid it just to keep their faction, it's hard to resist.

Or that it will not disband a year from now, and you'll not join a corp which operates in "hostile" space? Keeping your standings up is easy. Getting them back once you lose them is a major pain.

[edit] If you run missions on a dedicated alt, then by all means go ahead. The only thing that could hurt you is CCP messing with the agents again. There were so much butthurt when CCP removed highsec lvl5s, then implemented incursions. To think, you can have that same butthurt.

Also at the time, Thukker shield extenders were a good commodity to sell so I started doing missions for Thukker Mix to gain LP's. While completing my goal of obtaining +10 with Thukker Mix, I didn't realize I was destroying my standings with every single Faction in Eve except for Minmatar. I was getting very close to the point of no return and realized I would soon be allowed safe travel only in Minmatar high security space. I didn't want to be cut out of a large portion of the game. So I decided to turn that around. At the time, the general consensus in Eve to repair standings was 2 options. Fleet up with another player who is doing high level missions and gain shared standings to eventually gain access to mission offers or complete missions solo for a minor Faction to gain derived standings to eventually gain access to missions from the major Factions. Either way it was going to take a very long time. There had to be a quicker easier way to repair negative Faction standings. After doing a lot of research, I found information about various different Event Agents that gave the player a one time mission offer for Faction standing increase. Those Event Agents were the old Tutorial (now retired), Career, Circle, Data Center and Cosmos Agents. I had previously done a few Cosmos missions and liked the storyline associated with them, not to mention Cosmos has some of the best eye candy available in Eve. With this new found information, I set out to develop and work a 'Plan' of action to repair my negative Faction standings without damaging my positive standings with Minmatar and Thukker. Unfortunately, my Thukker Tribe Faction standing had to be sacrificed to bring up all the other Empire Faction standings. In the process of doing that, I was able to experience a lot of game content that normally isn't available to players due to their Faction standings or the lack of information about those special agents. The 'Faction Standing Repair Plan' may not agree with everyone's play style but it does serve a purpose. It is my contribution to this game and to the Eve Community. It has been greatly praised and accepted by the Eve Community, not to mention it has also helped a lot of players who had given up hope of ever doing so to quickly repair negative Faction standings due to their normal understanding of game mechanics. You don't have to work the 'Plan' to access all Empire high security systems. The benefit of working the 'Plan' not only gains the player high Faction standings with all Empire Factions, it also allows the player to experience much more game content that is normally overlooked. Currently I have over +5.00 modified standing with almost all Empire Factions and I still haven't finished working the 'Plan'. I have access to almost all level 4 and lower agents and can safely travel anywhere in this game. After I complete the level 4 Cosmos, Data Center and Epic Arc Agents, I'll be able to anchor a POS anywhere I want to that's allowed by game mechanics.

I ran so many Caldari Navy missions prior to switching to min that Caldari loves and tolerates the **** out of me. Amarr is not happy with me and actually my Minmatar faction standing is negative and worse than Amarr (slightly) even though my Sebiestor Tribe standing is over 8. I avoid the low sec storyline courier missions which is all I got while doing Seb missions so my faction didn't climb there either. Gallente is quite negative though not yet hostile due to all the Caldari Navy missions. I had avoided Amarr kill missions previously but I stopped doing that so my faction has been tanking.

For me I make almost 80mil in tags from some lvl5 mission vs gallente (+90k LP + 8mil reward). So it is worth it for me (if only I could be bothered looting more than 1/10 missions). But if you are only getting like 15mil worth of tags...well maybe not worth it unless you are a real peasant desperate for isk.

That's what my friend said, and he runs for Caldari Navy, and does FW missions against Gallente. Tthat's how I got my start with CN. But the LP store of what I'm working on is better, CN is terrible for that it seems, so I switched to Minmatar.

Sad really. Yes, it was definitely CCPs creation of incursions that screwed up LP store prices and not the extreme popularity of certain factions in general. I know I get a heck of a lot better than 500, averaging 1400LP/isk filling buy contracts, even more if I have the patience to wait for my own contracts to sell. Apparently even that isn't a good value for LP / isk but it's already more effort than I want to put into it.
