They are doing things right the first time which is a lot i can say for many many MMOGs. Being whiney and negetive in this community doesnt fly as it would in other MMOG communities.
Keep your whiny attitude to yourself until everything is back online. And also keep in mind that the expansion is free? Where you would have to pay otherwise?
So...just...Relax
Silence please , the adults are talking.
Are all members of ISS idoits?
My alliance has nothing to do with my views, just like your real parents obviously had a lot to do with your upbringing.
This made no sense.

Originally by: Brannor McThife On the whole deployment thing... surely they have a failsafe time? i.e.:
If we have not got a stable build by 18H00 GMT on Thursday, we rollback the server and go back to testing the building on Singularity....
After all, they should have a full backup of Tranquility (as per one of the other threads) that they could restore onto Singularity to continue deployment testing on... yes?
-G
I imagine if the actual update gets completely b0rked they have backups. Can't guarantee it, but I can't think of an MMO company that's screwed up that bad...

Originally by: Glass gril And to think, they said the community in Eve was "more mature than other MMOGS". Judging by this thread...all I can say is: what a joke.
The fact that this game community has any maturity at all in it is rather unique. Have you seen the general message boards for some of those other games?
I've found (thus far) that the quality of people that play the game generally counterbalances the l33t and the angsty, angry people that one normally perceives in a PvP environment. I like it, which is why I'm playing it now.
