Shut up. Wait. Shut up even more. They're just restarting the servers so you can play again. If you don't like the fact that they're doing their best to give you the best gaming experience they can offer, sign off and go home. Or go play WoW or something. God...

i would also agree that at this rate they need to revert back to cold war so that players can even play, if its not the port its the cluster, if its not the cluster its, its re booting and we have to wait 10 mins. If its not that its the port again... this is wone of the main reasons that i didnt really want to get in to mmorpg's. Seeming this is my first, and i really like it, im gonna hang on for a little while longer. But at this rate im gonna be going back to my FPS's.
Edit: How is a server ok with 3000+ people on it and the cluster is restarting?

Ive played alot of MMORPG, this is a first to see a game handing out free expansions like candy.
Maybe some of you should of played SWG. I'm sure you would of loved forking out cash after cash for expansion after lame expansion.
Everytime there's been an large update to an online game. The same thing happens.
Big Update. Down. Cry. Cry. Fixed. Down. Cry. Cry. Fixed.
The same thing happens with every online game.
Crying doesn't fix things sooner. Just means somebody has to spend time editing or deleting topics and comments.

How do you know they are doing their best? I do know they are doing their best at making sure my account is deducted money. That always works for them.

I work for mobile phone network vendor and this looks pretty familiar situation... Upgrading a live system - little less customers here though.
Looks like the "upgrade" of the EVE got messed up and not just little - trust me I know how it feels to be in the loop taking all the crap from the customer for not working system. 
Anyway - what I wonder is why this upgrade was done in the first place if it clearly was not tested - and why is it taking so long to fix it? Normal business case, when you have unaccpetable system upgrade, is to roll it back to previous level (cold war) and then check what went wrong. After analyzing the problem(s), fix it and then do the upgrade again - succesfully.
That's what we call professionalism in my work - how about yours CCP?

I said that I'm paying for this service, thats not working, thats what they have a test server for, but if you knew anything about the game you would know that this "patch" was NOT properly tested! So all you flamers need to go flame in another post. I'm simply stating the facts, 5 DAYS OF NON-WORKING AND LAGGING SERVERS, It's very easy to fix, REVERT back to cold war, at least until they can get things working properly.

You used the word "propably" there - You don't know how long it takes to fix the system or get the roll-back done - neither do I. So no telling which one would be faster...
I just wanted to comment that CCP should have some sort of process to do these upgrades - and if this happens they should have way to get back to a working system fast and not annoy all the PAYING customers.

been 2 years since I joined.... never seen a stable patch from CCP.... never saw it at any other game either.... never say a post-patch day without people asking for rollbacks.... never saw that happen either...
in other words, live with it people; patches are chaos, no matter where, no matter when.

last week everyone was waiting for the patch
last week it was going to answer all our prayers
since wednesday everyone has had to deal with the same problems as you
so I am down a couple of euros so what I got 3 hours fun yesterday I have had a couple of hours fun today but I cant log in right now
this is among the cheapest entertainment on the planet
and all we can do is whinge

A speeding car is rapidly traveling down your street .. it loses control and slams into a pole with a transformer by your house, you lose power to your house. Do you get a refund for those few hours you didnt have elctric? no .. do they come out and hook up a generator for your house? no.
Be patient .. *****ing and whining won't help. If youre unhappy with the service, don't use it.

I dont care what anyone says, if your car didnt start 5 days in a row wouldnt you be yelling at the automaker? Its no difference. I agree that every time there is a major patch problems come up but this is rediculous. Why not release 1/10th the patch and implement changes slowly. All this 100% new stuff is bound to mess up things.
I for one just visited the account maintenance and cancelled my acount.
Its obvious that ccp since they are not posting anything but love poems are running around with no idea how to fix this problem.

He has a point. CCP should be far less concerned with love poems, and postings what the problems are and what they are doing instead of flipping through 3rd rate poetry books.

Ok, constructive. CCP has a great game here, I love the free expansion, I think RMR is going to be great. But as I said, a great game that you can't play is about worthless.

Slowly slowly catchy monkey. You feel you need to make a complaint and receive compensation then write a polite complaint to CCP instead of shouting about it. Shouting won't do any good and will just get people annoyed with you.
