Seriously? how is that honorable combat? This mechanic is utterly ******* broken. Concord needs to step in. this mechanic is abused like hell in wardecs as well. Something needs to be done about remote reps.

but they dont. and even if they did, youd need a huge ******* fleet of lemmings to break 3 guardians. and barring that that doesnt stop these guys from docking straight up from warp after the fight. dont defend a broken mechanic.

so basically your expecting people to run to your rescue and undock these perfect counters and get tackle etc when they dont give two ***** from sunday. broken mechanic is broken.

It would only be broken if the Logi did not go suspect like it did before crimewatch.

ive been playing eve for 5 years. i know how it works. but i just returned from a break and this duel system is new. and allowing logi to interfere is just ******. ill just buy 10 falcon alts. and be a total ******* *** everytime i duel someone.

OP, you were looking for honourable combat in eve online?

Not just that, but he was looking for honourable combat from Rebirth.

OP must have been hiding under a rock during his "5 years of EVE." Welcome to the sunlight son!

You should probably also read up on how bounties work, as I suspect the next post from you will be "I was bountied and this is unfair!"

And keep in mind, most Rebirth. pilots fly with mandatory Slave set implants AND, most of the time, Dual T3 links.

Moral: Don't ever think that you gonna have a fair fight from Rebirth. even if it apparently looks like it ship wise. Also, except maybe for Holeysheet1 in Marmite, they are the spammiest (new word) neutral reppers in hisec.

It sounds like the best place to run a duel is not the sun.

It's just outside a high traffic station. That way when logis interfere, you're more likely to have someone shoot them.

Duel where there are lots of fanged passers-by. You can pretty much be assured that someone will take a bite out of yellow flashies, just because.

If you haven't figured out yet, the OP got baited off station b/c its hard to kill a dual ASB Maelstrom on station.

The only thing broke about the duel mechanic is the popup that announces it as "honorable combat" to everyone on grid. Eve is unfair. Its best to be the one doing the unfair than the one receiving the unfair. I can't wait until the OP finds out about off-grid boosters.

"Honorable" means I think, in this context, that both parties may open fire without any security status hit. Nothing more, nothing less. "Dirty pool" is still "fair game."
