If CPP wished, they could identify the program. I have even sent it to them along with the script they are using to attempt to block it.

No word yet.

Let me see it. I have a plan.

I don't think standing affects the aggression from can stealing, but while swapping cans I accidentally tried to drag something to their can, and it said something like "you can't do this because you're not in corp or gang and you're not held in the highest personal standings". so I set the macro apocs to +10 personal standing to see what would happen, and they started putting ore into my can. hauler took it, I killed him. the trick has worked eight times and on six of them I was able to kill the hauler. the other two times it just left all the ore and switched belts so I blew up the can.

Around the Ashab system there are quite a few macro users. The trickiest one is the Abear Corp. We war dec'd them, but they stopped logging those characters on. We'll let them chill a bit.
The thing that makes them difficult is the fact that they use large barges, fill it's hold, and jump directly back to the station. They never use a hauler or grab a can. Sure, their profits are lower, but it makes them more difficult to get at.
Of course there are fleet's of Macroing Apocs as well...

So, WHY doesn't CCP answer to that issue of macro miners?

They have the power to reduce their usage, why don't they?

My understanding is that it comes down to simple manpower.

It takes a time and effort to investigate each account accused of macroing, time and effort that is currently bug-hunting and un-sticking people.

In the mean time I'll see you all in MacroIntel.

It is very important to file a petition on suspected macrominers, as I understand and think is that they put their names in a database or something like that and the more petitions one character gets the more important is it to investigate if it is a suspected macroer or not.

So always send in a petition on them...

Personally I make a list in Word where I put in character name, corp, age, ship they fly and others they are with usually.... that list is growing every day I fly around.

Operations against macrominers are being successful so far. they are losing barges, haulers, apocs. one recent kill from the guys in macrointel was a barge with modulated stripminers and alpha hull expanders.

Smacktalk from them is a sure sign that they are hurting. if anyone else wants to join on on the fun you can join macrointel. and learn the tricks of the trade from the guys who frequent the channel.

They are in noob corps. The minute they would found their own corps all of them would be dead.

Anyway, THEY ARE (SOMETIMES) SHOOTING WHEN YOU ARE FLAGGED!

I lost a destroyer today while stealing a little ore from one group. The barges have Hammerhead I's as protection, as mentioned above. I guess an operator was controlling that barge at that time. People with better ships should not have problems though.

But I got my revenge, with help from the folks on macrointel. One hauler less. Cool

Later I returned alone and destroyed all the loot the macro had collected. No reaction then.

yes you still need to be careful regarding drones. make sure you can gank them and tank. Now a first time sighting of them using a raven for security in the jita icebelts. Looks like they are feeling the pain and now upping it up a notch. Anyhow make sure you consider your ship and the security ship they fly before moving ore.

this is a macro miner's idea of security:

FEROX

Destroyed items:
1MN Afterburner I
Civilian Shield Booster I
Basic Overdrive Injector System
Miner II
Basic Expanded Cargohold
Basic Expanded Cargohold
Veldspar, Qty: 4106 (Cargo)
Mining Drone I (Drone Bay)
Mining Drone I (Drone Bay)

items not destroyed were more miner II, a 7.2% CPU, 3 civilian shield boosters, limos and OE-5200 rocket launchers.

I stole its can and it started shooting rockets at an asteroid. it made another one, I stole it again, started flying away, and it launched rockets at me from 30km. after a while it ran out of ammo because it didn't have any besides what was in the launcher, so I scrambled and killed it.
