One of our Corp members has aquired 9 tech 5 devices over a week ago. We (our corp) has been trying to establish a dialouge with the GM's/Dev's to have them swapped out like they did for TTI (who received a Miner 2 BPC for a single tech 5 laser).
To those who have no clue how TTI's transaction took place let me recap a bit.
--Recap--
An artist Dev who had been working on the Jovian character models decided to show off his hard work one day recently. He undocks from a station, finds a player, and they dialouge for a bit. The dev then rewards the player for talking to him with a tech 5 laser from his ship.
That player then goes and sells the tech 5 laser to a TTI corp member for the sum of 55mil.
The other dev's learn of this and decide to roleplay to take this tech 5 item out of the game. Not wanting to have TTI loose 55mil, they decided to offer a trade (in the form of a jovian encounter): A Miner 2 BPC for the single tech 5 laser.

That's all fine and dandy. However, we have been trying to get the same treatment as the TTI corp for our NINE, count them, NINE tech 5 devices. 5 days have past since we tried to talk to the the GM's/Dev's. Our original petition remains unanswered.
I ask the eve community, what in your opinion's should be done (regardless of what CCP 'thinks' is appropriate...silence really sucks) with our corp's 9 tech 5 devices in light of the TTI trade described above.
We (our corp) are all frustrated at the lack of response from CCP. We feel we should be given our fair chance at the isk printing press as well.

Depends what the items are.
There's 1000 tech 5 piranha missiles out there and CCP don't mind - they're consumable.
zincol (I think) has 5 tech 5 Beserker drones - I have no idea what was done about those.
If you've contacted CCP saying "Give me this and I'll hand these over" then that's just wrong.
As for the TTI debacle - nobody knows what they got out of it.

So tech 5 items are now dropping when they are not supposed to be?
In our initial talk with the GM before the period of silence, we were told no tech 5 items were to be dropping in the game at all.
Sounds as if you two are also able to aquire tech 5 items as well.
What gives?

if you join tti and try again im sure ccp will then give you a tech2 BPC, oh be sure to rp they like that

First: Having any tech 5 items in game to start with is out right wrong.
Second: Having a dev 'hand' one out is out right wrong.
Third: Having the dev's then 'trade' (under much suspicion) for the hand out is out right wrong.
Fourth: Read the link below for what TTI got out of it. I'm tired of people trying to claim ignorance.
What's wrong with our small corp trying to get the same treatment as TTI?

delete everything in the game that is above lvl 2 and introduce them properly

There shouldn't be ANY tech 5 items in Eve unless they're equipped on GM ships and whatnot.
That's how the infamous Niebelung incident occured.
Having said that, until reverse engineering starts working, who really cares about the odd tech 5 drones or tech 5 light missiles.
Maybe there should be an Event bout them.

Well I wouldn't trust the person saying they got nothing out of the deal. Not after he stated he didn't know everything that goes on in TTI.
Then again I wouldn't trust anything I read coming from a TTI member anyways...

As Josh sayes, noone knows what TTi got in return for handing back the laser. They have specifically stated several times on irc and on these forums that they did NOT receive a miner2 blueprint or a copy of a miner2 print.
It was also stated that a second corp, one that has remained silent throughout on this matter, also had a miner5, and did trade it for a BPC of the miner2. Then several other miner2 copies enetered through the jovain event, and in addition thru the small aurora project event that was so poorly advertsied.

At least for gods sake stop saying that Ragnar payed 55 mill for the miner 5. Go read that thread again he TURNED THAT OFFER DOWN. Noone has every said what ragnar payed for that ONE laser. People just quickly glance at all those threads and then all of a sudden think they know everything that goes on.
Take it all with a grain of salt, And stop claiming that things have happened unless you saw it with your own two eyes (this is a general statement not directed to the writer of this thread).
