Untrue. I rarely undock. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. GǪ" |

I don't doubt it, but the point still stands. People can do things to mitigate the risk. They can learn to not be afraid to fly around and get on with the business of playing eve while wardecced. And say what you want about Ivy, but we do fly when wardecced. |

Standing out can be dangerous in EVE, thing is that people seem to think that, like other MMOs, there's nothing keeping you from spamming, shouting real loud, trolling, having a big mouth or generally just being annoying. In EVE that can have consequences and for some people the only way to learn that is the hard way.
So yes, OP has been annoying on the forums and generally that'll cause certain people to do a check on said annoying person to see if his biting is actually as good as his barking (it almost never is) and if he'd make for a nice target. It's mostly the retards who do unfunny stuff that gets them noticed and they perpetuate that retardedness when they're put to the test in the form of a wardec. It's funny to wardec a bigger corp as a one man entity (plus alts) because at first they laugh at you because they have X people on the roster and you have just one but very soon their smugness turns to anger, crying and vile hatemail. Each and every time.
Tbh I don't really give a fck about the OP because he's been annoying so good luck to him, but to any newbie out there who reads this; you don't have to hide and be scared of stuff like wardecs (in fact you should embrace them) but if you join a "we're clueless on pvp" corp and either you, one of your corp members or your CEO (it's almost always the CEO) has a big mouth he can't keep shut then expect this sort of thing to happen quite regularly and you should probably start preparing or better yet; find a better corp. |

I am very amused that this is a thing that actually happens.
Though I'm somewhat curious how my post count is a couple thousand if you count the old forums and I've never actually managed to set someone off like that. What did you do, make a post about having sex with his girlfriend over his mother's grave after running over his puppy?
Now, being decced for mouthing off in local chat, I've had that happen once or twice. |

Typical highsec response. Waiting in an instalocking T3 for a frigate is as engaging as waiting in a belt for a mining laser to finish cycling.
Then again, with your next level Autocannon Vengeance and Autocannon Harbingers, what should I have expected?

Begone F1 monkey. And thank you for pointing out those fits when I was.... was 3 months old ingame. Besides... That AC Harby/Vengenace killed more ships solo then you ever have killed anything solo. Been advising new players not to pvp cause it's impossible and been very annoying about it. Been ignoring good advice given by f.e. the one who decced him now and likes to debate the advice given. Likes to whine a lot.
Generally a lot of noise where there shouldn't be any. Stopped responding to his posts a while a go because of it. Reopen the EVE gate so we can invade Serenity. Goons can go first. |

Stopped responding to his posts a while a go because of it. This. Since I started my career in EVE at the beginning of June of this year, it's become starkly apparent that jumping straight into PvP after the tutorials is not a very good idea. There's an amazing amount of knowledge one must have in order to properly fit a ship for a particular purpose or even a particular opponent. PvE teaches some important lessons there. The missions are great proving grounds for your skills and ship fits. More importantly, you gain valuable experience.
I've noticed that some players initially equate skills with experience. Nothing could be further from the truth. Persisting in that notion will be an exercise in frustration and failure. You've got to be smart about what you're doing in the EVE universe, no matter what. A pile of skill points is no substitute for experience and perseverance.
EVE demands a lot from its participants. In return, you get an unforgettable experience.

The PvE does teach some lessons, it certainly gives you a start on tanking, damage types, resists, the ranges that you can engage opponents etc; what it doesn't prepare you for is the actual PvP experience, and the potential for an adrenalin rush that comes with it. That's where the buy 20 frigates and die hilariously advice, RvB, Brave Newbies, and people like OUCH or Agony come in.

Thanks! IM's good crew to fly with. Laz and Hells and the gang have been tremendously helpful to this newcomer. Thanks to them, I've gotten a solid footing in the EVE universe. We do a bit of all of it - PvE, mining, exploration, PvP lowsec roams, etc.

Three months into the game I knew better than to fit autocannons to a Harbinger. Your armor Talos and RC1 1400 Nado concepts are only slightly better. I eagerly await your entrance into low/nullsec so that I can explore the hilarity of your modern fits.
I wonder what further validation you have for spending your time shooting pods, mining barges, and unfit destroyers with a Legion in highsec. I'm sure it will vastly outweigh the hundreds of fights I've taken outnumbered and against larger ship classes, both solo and in small gang. |

Yea, but that won't protect you from peckerwoods like me who like to gank NPC corp members just because of that. I think anyone older than a month should be in a player corp.
I excercise my patented "gank and greet" against brand new players less than 2 weeks old when i catch them mining from time to time though. New players get several positive things from this.
1. an isk payout of between 25 and 100M isk depending upon their attitude. 2. the first death mail 3. kill rights to learn about 4. generally an invitation to fly with myself and more experienced players to help the new guys learn the game faster 5. ship fitting advice 6. opportunity to be a part of the eve community.[/quote]
You sound like an amazing player. I would imagine there are several skilled EVE players that continued to play and thrive because of your "gank and greet" method. This game man...... |

This is why so many corps have a rule about not posting with your main.
C'mon people, get smart. You have three character slots in a game full of people that want to make you cry. Use one of those slots to make a forum alt if you feel the need to express yourself through the written word. I have usually four to eight characters training on four accts and have yet to post in the forum with one.
Never has one of them been wardecced. Although I have a few times. It's funny to log into your forum alt occasionally only to find out you missed a perfectly good war. LOL
