EvE Radio will have live commentary for as much of the event as possible, with off air fraps and commentary of the semi finals and final which will be available via our on demand service as soon after the event as possible.
If possible, we'll try and do the last 16 as well but can't promise anything just yet.

This needs sorting out for the later rounds because the Eve-radio broadcast at the moment is commedy gold rather than sporting commentry.
I'll let you in on a little secret. We, much like everyone else only became aware of the tourny a short while ago. Unlike you, we decided to focus our attentions on the majority of the last 2 days of competition once the initial rounds were done with.
It was only a last minute decision made at the repeated request of players and listeners to do some form of coverage for todays events and we drew from the small number of available DJ's who are about today at the very last minute.
So in other words, give the guy on air a break. He didn't ask for it or particually want to disrupt his regular show. You want to criticise, do it tomorrow when we may deserve it.

I <3 you man, not sure if you still love me though
An just incase you were wondering, thats real man love I am referring to.
Course I do. And real man love - is there any other kind?
Anyway, the coverage is going well despite last the minute organisation of todays events. Both DJ Fanelien and DJ Starfury have done an excellent job thus far and we expect more of the same over the next two days. Kudos to them and the support team for keeping our servers nicely maxed out. Just FYI, we're hitting over 550 listeners and expect that to soar to around 800 by 20:30 tonight. We're streaming at over 60mbps currently and will be approaching 85 - 90 later on tonight.
Just as well we ordered those two new dedicated 100mbit servers yesterday.

Well, it's been helluva night so far. Great fights, a few non events, SMASH Alliance and it's 7 stabbed Domi *chuckle* - need to get Winterblink on that one - and a ground breaking 869 concurrent listeners tuned into EvE Radio for the event. Thats in the range of 100mbps and thanks to an oversite on behalf of our current server hosts, we were able to broadcast all that instead of the 50mbps we should have been capped at.
Tomorrow we will be doing the same again - and DJ Starfury will return between 4pm - 12am gmt to reprise his role as chief commentator and keep you all upto date.
However, due to a clash of scheduling (We have another event running at the same time) the commentary will run on a seperate 128kbps stream for the rest of the tournament. I'll make details available for this event specific stream a little later on here, in general discussion and on the eve radio website.
Thanks for tuning in, our excess bandwidth expenses are going to run into the hundreds.
Let's see if tomorrow or friday we can make the 1000 concurrent listeners mark.

You can blame Diaego for that.
Part of our expansion included purchasing 2 new dedicated 100mbit servers and we've started the process of migrating hosted content and switching DNS to the new boxes to get them working immediately. Unfortunately, this process started before the decision was made to go on with the event today so we are kinda stuck with DNS propogation issues and the like. Should all be sorted by tomorrows bouts so everybody should be able to tune in again. Apologies to those that are having difficulty at the moment.

If memory serves the station is called Eve radio indicating its aimed at Eve players presumably by Eve players. Maybe for your next radio venture you could set up over reacters radio as you seem to be quite the expert at that to.
We already have a show for that. It's called House Of Blades, usually on tuesday evenings. Please feel free to stop by when it's back on air - you'll be most welcome.

Seriously, the two that have been doing the commentating over the last two days don't know jack **** about eve.
Fair dues they try hard, and are obviously good DJ's, but can we please please please get someone commentating who is more experienced in PvP, hell even Eve.
It's making eve-radio look very poor imo.
I'm terribly sorry, I'll have the fee you paid to tune in tonight returned immediately to you.
Oh wait ...
