I'm a prowd Caldari and i just need to vent to the universe my unberable dislike to how CCP is giving Gallente race (if you can call them a race) overwhelming advantage in the EVE Universe.
I'm sure Caldari people are not the only one unhappy with this so other races are free to vent their grieve in this thread also and state their reasons.
Caldari reasons:
1st- Tech2 Barges are awarded via Gallente Starship Eng ONLY. They (CCP) seem to justify this fact by ORE being EX gallente... SHHHHHH
2nd- ALTHOUGH Ishukone (Caldari Corp) is known for having the most advanced tech in empire due to their good relations with Jovians, you DON'T see them giving some special tech2 BPO that no other corp offers...
3rd- Caldari WON a "recent" event in ACTUAL GAMEPLAY when WE collected the most Jovian parts. What do we get???? NOTHING, NADA, NIENTE, RIEN, DIDLY SQUAT 
4th- New tech2 missiles are released with the most stupid and cripling penalty that is memory of.
Now this is what i call using the SOME of EVE backstory to benefict some (Gallente, our lifetime enemies) and forget all the rest. Thats what i call balancing things up CCP  GOOD JOB

Aelius, you are starting to do my head in. You've won 7 or 8 Tech II BPO's (so you say) and were recently complaining about the loss of a 4 billion BS, which I might add, a large majority of Eve players could never hope to own. Now you are complaining again! Do your race a favour and SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Believe it or not, you are winning Eve already.

Just accept that we are in the ascendant and are the new Master Race.
There is a reason Luminaire contains a cinder once called Caldari Prime.
(Mind you, I still use Amarr T2 gear)

right, that makes sense Aelius... .
In short you just said:
1. gallente research got the tech2 barge bpo's
2. there are some reasons why caldari suck at some things somewhat more then others.
Conclusion: CCP suck and are biased towards the gallente race.
Well, one helluva fine piece of logic that

If you read your points, theres only the first that is actually a gallente advantage over caldari. And I do agree, it does seem a little strange that its only released from one faction. Maybe thts how thing are heading. Maybe the caldari will get the next set of T2 BPO's from the Jovians? 
The 2nd is gathered from reading the descriptions in the corp info's I assume, which are usially far from accurate and dont tend to have ANY bearing ingame.
The 3rd is an probably an unfinished stroyline, and it has nothing to do with the gallente, apart from the fact we didnt come first. The winners gained boosted standings with the jovians. I think thats an utterly pointless bonus, but its not like it was hard to collect bits of some wrinkly jovian was it?
The 4th isn't just a caldari problem. Every race has got nasty little quirks in their tech 2 ammo. If the + doesn't outweigh the - then dont use them.

Ok, Gallente Hitting back here, Firstly ORE was a break off from the federation, thus ORE startship design is based on gallente starship design, suck it up caldari left the federation, there loss.
Second point, jovian's have been very secretive about tech even with their relationships with the caldari, and most of the tech would be held back by the caldari for military use Thus not available to general citizens.
Third point not gettin anything from an event, thats a fair whine.
finally ehhh everything has some nerf or penalty that seems stupid

That may be all true but comfort yourself in the knowledge that the Gallante are decendents of an old Earth race called the French.
Expect those new tech 2 barges to frequently suffer from mechanical problems.

so ur arguement about gallente being overpowered is based on barge T2 bpos needing a gallente skill and 3 other points which seem to have no relevance to gallente. Damn, that makes me heart all warm and fuzzy to think that gallente could have such an advantage

I'm not talking in my behalf, i think i speak for all Caldari race. Winning 7 BPO's (6 with Aelius, 1 with an alt) doesn't make me less right on this. I know several people are still waiting for the first tech2 BPO but i can't be blamed for my luck. Anyhow i'm glad to see that 9M SP's in science alone are paying up afterall.

The drawbacks on the missiles are DEFINITELY worse than on anybody else's ammo. That especially ****es me off because until the rumored railgun sniper battleship comes out, Caldari battleship damage output is exclusively missile based.
As for the T2 barge BPO's, so what? Let the Gallenteans have their barges. I'd much rather let them play with 'roids all day while we'll probably get some kickass thing soon that doesn't involve sitting in front of a rock all day. Them there grapes're sour as lemons, ya hear?

Maybe Gallente are the best because God loves us, and hates you Caldari.
I mean Caldari people, judging by looks, seem rather in-bred, with their simple bland faces and all looking the same as one another.
It would hardly be right that a race of simple but mercantile inbreds could really be a dominant force over a race that understands the important things in life - like hedonism and excess.
I mean honestly who wants to be 'hard working and efficient' caldari when you could be a gallente and get high on legal drugs and dirty holo vids.
The we get in our Battleships, still high on drugs and watching ****, and launch our murderous little drones to do all our killing for us while we sleep with genetically enhanced hookers.
Yep Caldari seriously have no imagination with all this pleasure out there to be had, and they still out there trying to be rich - or trying to catch up with the wealth of their gallente superiors.
Anyway Gallente are better because we deserve to be better, simple as that. Just thank the gods that this is the eve universe where you can start a new character from afresh, and put all that boring hard working and efficient crap behind you. Our self serving hedonism makes us rich. Your hard work and efficiency makes you the dogsbodies of the universe. If you are lucky i might throw some spare change your way, to go and kill one of my enemies for me. Only as long as i don't have to get so close that i have to endure that caldari stench.
There i'm sure that will clear up any controversy on the issue of why gallente are better than caldari, it all seems perfectly reasonable and self-explainatory to me.

to be honest CCP should have created a new class of research agents that being some placed ORE stations in high sec across all empire regions. ORE research agents that give out just t2 barge BPOs and also t2 mining modules lasers implants etc. Take some of the ORE agents out of Outer ring and plant their representatives inside the empires.

this statement alone just shows that CCP's BPO Lottery is totally sick!
in each lottery there should be a maximum of 1 BPO awarded to a account, not 7.

It's true. We gallente are the favorite race.
Our manticore bomber is clearly the best in the game with 50% more firepower than any other race.
The Ferox (gallente BC) can sheild tank like no other BC in the game.
The gallente scorpion BS is the EW king of the game.
And the gallente freighter, the Charon has the biggest cargo cap in the game.
With ships like this in the gallente lineup, I can't figure out why ANYONE would create a caldari character.
