Originally by: The Fates Achura Stargazer, with INT/PER/CHA/WIL/MEM of 10/10/3/6/10.
that would make a great domi/ishtar/eos/carrier pilot
anyway, my starting atributes were 12/10/8/6/3 for P/W/I/M/C
i am already done with I/M skills (1 million on electronics, 1.2 million on engineering, 2.5 millions on learning and 1.4 million on mechanic). that sums a little bit more than 5 millions. that is all i will ever train on intelligence/memory skills.
where else will i use either intel or memory? well, 4 million sp on navigation (already trained) for intelligence, and, if i get nuts, about 8 million sp on drones for memory. but, those 12 million sp are also based on perc.
but why the 10 on willpower? well, i plan to play this game for a long time, but since i have another char that messes with trade/production/refining/mining, Liu will only worry about ships&guns. and those skills are based on perception/willpower (mainly) or willpower/perception (tech 2 ships).
to prove how important willpower is for me, i made a very long skill plan on EVEMon. very very long indeed. but the plan is all i want to train. in short, what this plan is, is training every tech 1&2 non-capital ship to level 5, and every non-capital gun/missile/drone spec to 4 (gun/missile/drone support skill to 5 as well). needless to say, i will probably never make it alive, but dreaming goes for free.
so, the plan goes for only 1712 days, 23 hours, 55 minutes and 47 seconds, with maxed learning skills and +3 implants.
then, the test. if i plugged a +4 intel implant, instead of +3, i will save a total of 4 days, 4 hours and 2 minutes of training.
if i plugged a +4 charisma implant instead of +3 i would save 8 hours and 23 minutes.
if i plugged a +4 memory instead of +3, i would save 10 days, 19 hours and 41 minutes (dammed drones)
if i plugeed a +4 perc instead of +3, i would save 38 days, 17 hours, 11 minutes (quite a lot, almost 4 times as much as memory, and more than 9 times as much as inteligence)
if i plugged a +4 willpower instead of a +3, i would save 19 days, 5 hours, 8 minutes (twice as much as memory, and 5 times as much as inteligence)
so, for my very personal training plan, willpower is much more important than either memory or intelligence. of course, i could make that decission because i already knew the game, and i had a quite clear idea of what i wanted to accomplish with Liu.
meanwhile, my other char, being an intaki, started with a pityful 3 score on perception, but now with maxed learning skills and +3 implants, he is an incredible drone user (29.7 points on memory), miner, refiner, researcher, producer and trader. all intel, memory and charisma have become more important than perception. only willpower is less useful, but it was not on my hand to switch willpower points for perception points.
so, my conclusion would be, that clearly, perception is the most important atribute, charisma the less important (on general, cause anyone that wants to be a trader or gang leader needs quite a lot charisma based skills).
about the other 3 attributes, i wouldnt dare to say which one is more important, since i believe it depends a lot on what you want to do with your char. could be inteligence if you like EW and acting as support for your mates, memory if you love drones, or willpower, if all you dream about is getting the best out of your vagabond, crow, curse and eos.
