Experiencing the same thing. Client crashes after few minutes, not doing anything particular. Screen freezes, no crash report, has to be killed manually. |

Swaffer wrote:well, i forced shut all running programs obviously apart from eve, and everything started running fine, no crashes. I had a lot of microsoft office software running, all forced shut. Give this a try, i'll post again if i get another freeze.
Tried this a couple of times, after a fresh reboot even. It seems to last longer, but then after a while, it still freezes..

If any devs are reading this, i might have a clue how to narrow it down.
I switched to windows client on parallels, but with the same hardware i see somewhat similar behavior. With the same frequency as mac crashes used to happen, i get these glitches where the client skips ahead about 2 seconds - if you are in warp or moving around, it just paints entire grid as its few seconds later. The difference with windows is, it recovers as soon as that time passes. Its some sort of weird desync to the future.
It might be an issue in original client, not whatever transgaming does when they port it, so maybe if you can find it in windows code, it could give some clues to as why mac client seems to freeze in that situation. |

Its really not. I'm using mac pro which has 4 huge fans and when you put it to the max, temperature drops to 20ish degrees celsius (although it sounds like a vacuum cleaner) I still get the freezes |

so, 1.5 year anniversary is coming up. We should definitely do some little gathering or something, when this bug reaches 2 years.
I'm pretty sure CCP gave up on mac client by now. I filed close to 10 petitions about this issue and still zero response. |
