Happens to me too, both in space and when docked, which makes even the market unplayable. No OutputDebugStringA anywhere, it just freezes and doesn't come back. Memory is not an issue, both times I had nearly two gigs of RAM completely free when the game froze.
I'm on Lion. |

I went to write a petition, was just about to press submit and the damn thing froze again. Didn't even undock. Doesn't unfreeze at all. Console.app has nothing to say. Fans go wild but EVE is only using 33% CPU, not sure what it's doing.
I scaled the UI to 90% before this started happening, but I didn't spend any time playing with 100% so I can't tell if it's related. |

And again. Sorry for the spam but I'm very frustrated right now. UNPLAYABLE even for a station warrior.
Sounds unlikely but the last two freezes happened just about right after I'd pressed backspace in a text field....... |

For what it's worth the issue seems to occur less if you never, ever switch to another application while running EVE. Once you launch the EVE .app you should not focus any other window at all.
In any case the game is completely unplayable and the lack of dev response (yes even though it was a weekend) clearly shows how much they care. This issue is ****ing critical.
Just drop the Mac client if you don't feel like supporting it properly. |

The new patch (including the new client update) seemed to be pretty stable for a while, but then it froze again.
Also the login screen takes 100% CPU, becomes normal when in game. |

Vincent Athena wrote:I decided to make sure this was not an issue at my end, so I ran disk utility and hit "verify disk". It found problems. Due to various issues involving our IT department and stuff they got loaded onto my computer and the holiday shutdown I cannot get it fixed right away. In the meantime I was showing the IT guy that things usually worked, including Eve. Then right after undocking at Jita (with the IT guy watching) Eve froze.
Anyway: To all getting freezes or crashes, open "Disk Utility" and use "Verify disk" and see if there are any problems. No problems here. Still freezing as often as always.
