This is the first event run by CCP that I have to say I have really really really enjoyed, and I wasn't even taking part, just listening. Congrats to CCP for such a good event and to eve-radio for the coverage (and galaxion/dbp for all the typed coverage) was a really good event.
Last of all, big congratulations to TWD, Alasse and BlackLight for winning the Caldari Championships.

Ye at last a great event, easily beats the other 10000x over, having the video and comentary really helped, other games (quake cs et etc) have dedicated sports casters + vid now we had it in eve \o/
Lets not wait 3 more years till the next one please

This needs to be an annual thing.
Amazing stuff, I think most people playing eve were gripped by this.
GOt to love Eve Radio DJ's. They may have made some faux-pas's but nonetheless, they put in the effort and sounded like a lovely *** couple with a daughter :D Well done DJ's. |

Was indeed a very very very great event. I wasn't personnaly participating, but i had some "fleet battle" shakes by just listening to TS and reading reports on IRC.
Excellent coverage from Eve radio (even if the commentator(s) werent the best "pvpers" they did a good job).

I think for pure player participation, this was by far the best event we have had.
The reason? Eve has matured massively since the first pvp championships, corps have put 2 years into Eve and everything was on the line.
CCP ran the event amazingly considering how little time they had to run it.
I also thought the DJ's were awesome on Eve-Radio after doing a 6 hour, 9 hour then 6 hour stint on the radio. They improved along with the event and their commentary of the quarters, semi's and finals were spot on. The guys giving the previews and reviews of the fights really helped alot too.
A special mention must go out to Galaxion and Stratego for their forum work keeping everyone up to date with what was going on.
Simply awesome event.

Awesome event. Very nicely done from CCP and all of the players who helped out with commentary and the lovely updated board (yay for Stratego).
Although some of us obviously weren't aware that Wolfs were T1 frigs yet, the EVE-radio DJs did their best and at the very least gave us a clue of what was going on  .

I refuse to congrat Bob, damn haxors, I was rooting for KAOS, I hate the eagle
Anyway the best event ever indeed, both forum and audio commentary were great. I didn't expect to get so SO excited, it's comparable only to times when my national team is fighting in hockey world championship finale. Only thing really missing was live video feed
I hope CCP now sees that this is the kind of event to run, not some elections or npc stuff. And since Minmatar event should REALLY (or I'll start killing kittens, again) be next I suggest 5on5 inty but I'm willing to go with anything as exciting as this one.
