Given that I've been playing borderlands 2 with a friend, I support taking on the role of claptrap and his faithful minion.
That said, I knew someone that named the dog "C-A-T" (pronounced: See'-Ae-tee) |

You could name him, "Dog", following the example from that ship-wrecked fellow from that literary classic (which name I don't recall). If you want to go main-stream, then how about:
Rover, Spot, Woof, Rex, etc, (etc. is not a dog name, it just means 'and so on').
Some people try to be avant-garde and go for more exotic names:
.......
.......
.......
I'm not able to be avant-garde, so I can't come up with any exotic dog name examples. Sorry, you're on your own there.
Why not call him a name from something you really, really like. For example, Homer Simpson really, really likes donuts and bacon.... Although, he called his dog Santa's Little Helper.......
You could let the fates name your dog. Get a giant dictionary, close your eyes, open to a random page, and point randomly to the random page..... I just tried it out, just to see what name the fates have chosen: "Incontinence."
Good luck, naming your dog.
(For those who didn't get it. It's all tongue in cheek.) Watch this space.-á New exciting signature in development. |

A second thought for the OP, since a dogs name should reflect his character, maybe you could call him Hannibal or Jaws Glory to the State. |

You should call your dog "Yogurt".
There is no hidden meaning or insider joke that you don't get- I just think "Yogurt" would be an effing cool name for a dog. Just think of how bad an average post by me is, and then realize half of them are even worse |
