Last night near new caldari a group of freedom fighters took it upon themselves to do that which concord and the caldari navy seem powerless to do. Eyewitness reports say that a scorpian battleship of the infamous moo "greifing" corp was blockading a gate near to New Caldari, this brazen act of defiance of law seemed to have gone unpunished by the officials.
That is until this small band of brave freelancers arrived, used to easy fights and using disturbances in other ships control interface moo have grown fat and out of shape in recent days (much like thier commanders). It seems when they face enemies with backbone they soon crumble.
At the moment reports are hazy, it is unknown who the fighters were, or what their ships were, there are rumours of a frigate only force but this seems very far fetched... especially when you hear what ship moo lost. The pride of the caldari navy, a Scorpian class battleship. These ships were previously thought invincible but scans by the cleanup squads for the ship of one Captain Magua of moo have turned up inconclusive. Not a trace of wreckage even.
The death toll for this 1.8 million tonne behemoth is set at 6399, all crew killed, only Magua surviving to flee to moo hq in an escape pod. It seems with pirates the fact of captains been the last off is lost on them. I am sure he will be killed by his superiors for such an act, analysts have described this as a huge blow for moo.
Admiral Ralyetee, senior in the caldari navy commented on the situation.
"This is unbelievable, that a pirate force could be so close to our capital, but we lack the resources to combat such terrorists. The pirate was outside of our patrol range, within Aunenen as far as i know. I am indebted to the brave people who carried out this strike for the free people of Caldari. Maybe now more will stand up with Concord and the Caldari Navy and fight these evil terrorists."
A spokesperson for MoO was unavailable for interview.
Many officials are raising questions as to how could a terrorist organisation get their hands on one of the newest most high tech ships of the Caldari navy, the only answer is insider dealing with an unscrupulous manufacturer for the navy or, the worst case, moo have the facilities and technology to build their own. If this is true im sure this is not the last moo battleship we will see inside empire space.
In a final word, on behalf of the free peoples of Caldari I want to say thankyou to these brave freedom fighters for standing against tyranny for what is right. Maybe now people will stand together against terrorists everywhere!! I will bring you more information as soon as i receive it.

Just so I understand correctly, Magua in a scorpion got wasted by a bunch of Frigates?
That is a riot. Please post some screenshots. Gives me some ideas for attacking coward pirates with a horde of players in frigates. Ultimate in humiliation to get wasted by frigates or even cruisers in a battleship.

I have heard rumors of this event and my sources tell me a frigate and some cruisers were used. I belive they were not even top of the line cruisers.
Well done to those brave pilots for teaching M0o a lesson.

Who are these freelancers that killed him? I also heard they were in cruisers not frigates and are in some kind of anti-pirate alliance?? 
EDIT: If so we need to know who you are, EVE needs more pirate hunters and less pirates! |

Bravo. I find pirates in lone battleships quite ammusing. A Blackbird paired with a Thorax is usually more than enough to drop a Scorpion. Too bad no one had let us in on this, we'd have been happy to join in.

It was 8 cruisers. Magua fired on one of the cruisers so they all opened fire and destroyed him. No serious damage sustained although the cruiser fired upon was down to armor. Two of the pilots were ex KIA. I wont post their names incase they want to remain anonymous.

Actually there was only 5 cruisers and 1 frigate, a kestrel
2 ex KIA were involved
Not sure about any anti pirate alliance though.

marius, the ecm of different ships DOES stack, unless it's burst ecm, which only works for the second it was activated.

Apparently as more info as regards this event filters in, it seems that the ships involved did not even suffer shield damage and apparently the final blow can from the kestral of all things. As the old saying go's the bigger they are the harder they fall.
As regards the reverends post I would assume he would be back in a scorpian again it's called insurance. Well done to whoever these individuals are but I can sleep safer tonight knowing that pirates have a new enemy.

Second, i have seen a lot of whining by both miners and pirates when they are podded. WTF! this is PvP. I have, however,seen many postings by MoO congratulating their killers for a good fight. this is what we need more of. So well done to the Reverand
This is a game after all and not something to get high blod pressure over.

Now this ship alone will take you where you want to go fast, and allow you to blow up whoever you find when you get there. Now we all know that there can be a time when the odds are against you and the situation is grim. well thats where the best part of this sale comes in.
You will be involved in the m0o corporation. A bloodthirsty band of pirates who let nothing stop them. You will be given the highest access into the corp. All that you desire is yours. Nothing in my hangar that you fancy (unlikely) well why not have a look around the m0o corp hangars. im sure there will be something you will find here.
M0o is about teamwork, so if you find yourself in a spot of bother, then you have 29 other members to call on, all armed to the teeth. problems soon go away once they are blown apart into their indiviual atoms.
Im not even gonna comment, but... where was the backup for this invincible Scorpion?

And yes, it is a proven fact that 8 frigates can indeed destroy a scorpion. I've got to say good job on the story -- even the insults were well done.
I was on TS with this pilot as he was being surrounded... if there was no time-wait for warping out after engaging in combat, he would've likely taken down a few of the ships, then come back for more. Unfortunately, when a large group of people come after you in frigates, one might suspect that as soon as he opens fire, half of these frigates will dock and change ships (which was the fear before). We've got to be much more cautious now, as attacking one ship, if even a reaper, could result in being locked in place for a bit while a fleet warps in.
I'm not trying to downplay the accomplishment, I congratulate you! This should clear up any BS that is spread about any of us running from overwhelming odds (3-4 smart pilots in kester's can take out all but the highly equipped battleships).

If the gate had not have been "holding" him there he would have shot lots of them and then left, then come back and killed the rest. But because the gate was "holding" him he decided to kill none and die lmao.... Ahhh so its the gates fault that he got blown up. Because the gates stop you fighting!!!

They sort of gave congrats, saying first the pilot still had his ship so could be a lie when they will know for sure if he lost it. And xeno said well done then went on to say its easy and blame the loss on being locked and warp time delays, i just wanted to know what these things were!!!!! So we can all look out for them. I just remember moo making a big thing when a similar thing happened when they dropped lots of cans with one ammo in and got a battleship, then it was a big deal no? |

Calm down, now... I'm giving due credit to the attacking force. This pilot was speaking to us on TS while you all were going after him. He was going to open fire sooner and try to kill all of the frigates, but was afraid that if he did, a few would stay, and a few others would change ships.
You people are touchy! I'm not blaming your 8v1 victory on anything -- your ammo destroyed his ship, and it's as simple as that. I'm simply pointing out that this new patch is hard to cope with. At least give the scorp pilot an ounce of credit, eh?

I would have stopped shooting at the cruisers/frigates and used the gate when the timer expired.
But I agree, even m0o deserves respect in the game. Even if you dont agree with how they choose to play the game, dont get angry. Get even.

Experience.
Moo have possibly the most PvP experience in game. The fact that 8 frigates/cruisers took out a Moo BS is admirable... but its still 8:1 odds and the rules of engagement have changed. Do not for 1 second expect to have it as easy again. Moo will have taken this as a learning experience.
As for insults and expletives... Let Moo have their say and explain their side - then explain yours. Its called a discussion children :)
Finally before anyone states I am a Moo or a Moo follower. I'm not. I believe major Kudos is due to the brave souls who tackled a Scorpion BS in Frigates and Cruisers. However I also believe that without Moo and other Pirate corps the Eve universe would be terminally dull. At least I still feel the need to check local when travelling... w/o player Pirates I could afk travel all the while.
