Just force people out of n00b NPC corps, have adavnced NPC corps that can be war declared.
Why should anyone be able to should anyone be able to sit in an NPC corp all their eve-life and avoid being war decced no matter what they do?
Punitive taxes on NPC corps is one way 50%. Advanced corp set to 15% say.
Yes solo'ers in NPC corps will be affected, but at the moment EVERYONE else that is legitimately mining is suffering. EULA arguments are useless as CCP EULA bans macroing but nothing has been done about the 100+ macro'ers in my address book. Adding new clauses to an already toothly EULA is pointless.

Originally by: Arcticblue2 Or ... maybe a on off button for "PvP enabled" ... off you can't do mining, on ... you can do mining but are flagged for everyone ...
Okey I see loads of griefing with this, maybe a 30-60 days period where you can't attack no matter.
Thats downright stupid where is the risk/reward balance?

But thats then exposing everyone who mines to getting pvp'd a pirates heaven. That would destroy the game mega risk for little reward talk about risk/reward being out of balance.
How about just moving ice to 0.0>0.7 sec systems and making belt rats harder, so some protection is required.

There was a bit of a chat log in an earlier page (15) of this discussion, with a guy ADMITTING he's a macro miner. It so happens that I recognise the name: It's one I petitioned back in NOVEMBER.
Unfortunately, a chat log from a player isn't really good evidence. For example:
Um CCP keep a record of the logs - how else can you petition about abuse? So they have the proof, but just not the will to do anything about these macro'ers
The guy the other day (macro) said to me cos i took his ore then shot his ship he wanted to come and r.a.p.e my wife and daughter. I petitioned and yet the guy still logs in. I've petitioned loads, and they are all the same people that subsequently i've discovered others in macrointel chat have petitioned. Are we all deluded? CCP hold chat logs, but do nothing about this either. Basically eve is an anarchy and anything goes, macro, abuse, etc. Only thing that doesnt go is criticising CCP - which draws the wrath of a GM which closes the thread :-(

And i think that the fact that the sticky for game lag has 10 pages, and the sticky for macroing has 20, shows how big this problem is and how we the users feel about this problem.

Well ive been chasing/hunting these guys since before rmr (just petitioning and stealing ore before rmr).
In the last 5 days there has been a massive reduction in macrominer/farmers - before i could find an op within 3 jumps easily - now even the normally massively farmer/macro'd ice belt of lustrevik is clear of them. I'd love to put this down to those of us that chase these macro's about or to CCP's recent postings, but I suspect the number will go back up next week due to this weekend being a particular holiday for the majority of farmers macro'er that I personally know of.
Either that or CCP have banned a HUUUUGE number of people, in which case maybe putting in the news numbers of how many have been banned - it literally is over a hundred macro'ers farmers that I personally know of and the situation seems to be the same all over the eve universe.
Whatever its actually nice to not have macroers to petitition/steal from/destroy

Well, unfortunately it seems I was correct and all the macros/farmers that disapeared last week have now all re-appeared from sunday evening onwards, which suggests that it was holiday related. Ah well.
