There are a lot of excelent classic games out there which are extremely fun to play but have outdated graphics. So, which games would you like to see re-launched with better graphics?
Mine: Sim City 2000 (the best version by far) Wing Commander: Privateer (or single player Eve if you want) M.A.X. (one of the best strategy games I've played) UFO-Enemy Unknown (who didn't love this game?)

Sim City 2000 was fun.. it gets my vote Wing Commander:Privateer + Wing Commander 1+2 M.A.X. Didn't play that one UFO-Enemy Unknown Heck yes, the first and the best of the series.
Adds: Master of Magic Birth of the Federation

Sentinal worlds X-com ufo defense shining in the darkness wizardry 1 and 2 final fantasy tactics aliens vs predator planetside (getting it to gears of war or unreal on ps3 graphics and physics would rock on both of the last two) the two d&d arcade side scrollers (sorry not geek enough to remember the names)

Zak McKracken and the Alien MindBenders. Maybe Some of the old Space Quests too. Its all about late 80s Adventure games!

In line with the Space Quests then I wouldn't mind seeing the old Kings and Police Quests too, along with the classic Liesure Suit Larry games. Although for the text based ones an increased vocabulary would go down nicly along with new graphics. Dunno how many hours I've spent trying to figure out the correct word to open a "box" or whatever

Never liked that, always preferred the first Homeworld. Pity everyone on the multiplayer always used the Mothership rush and there were hardly ever any decent fleet battles. Turning of hyperspace ftw =D

Hexen, without a doubt. The gothic feel and the background music really made that game come alive for me.
Also, as others have said, Master of Orion 2.
Lastly, Master of Magic, another turn-based strategy game by the same people who did Master of Orion, but fantasy-based. -Wrayeth

The Freespace2 sourcecode has been released, check out This page for Freespace with graphics capable of taxing even the most capable of computers.
For those of you who never played the game, Freespace2 is now abandonware and can therefore be played for zero cost.

Xcom UFO Defese, i have some ideas other the graphics for a remake as well. pretty much just limited to more terran weapons and more varity to the cities. when aliens terrorize New York you would land in a city not the little hick towns from the oringnal hehe.

Yeah X-Com UFO Defense rocked... To be honest, the only improvement I would really like would be just a clearer picture of everything (to fit the big monitors and higher resolutions nicely), but still with that cartooney/manga/80's game look. I think that's one of the things that today's games are doing wrong: trying to make it look real (and failing all too often).
But after reading this, yeah, it kinda sucked that New York looked like a 50 people village (and almost never found aliens on the top floors). ---------- Please fix the scan probes!!! (also included a guide to use them) |

Star Control 2.
A new Mechwarrior: Mercenaries game based on the one published by Activision years ago would be great too. (don't like being put in-character by the new one, and it's too linear) -------------------------------------------------- Loyalty, Integrity, Honour. |
