Due to several small issues during deployment, downtime for EVE Online: Odyssey 1.1 will be extended beyond the original uptime of 10:40 UTC.
We currently have no ETA for bringing Tranquility back online, however we will update this forum thread with further information as it becomes available.
We apologize for any inconvenience this extended downtime may cause.
UPDATE - 10:40 UTC - We are currently investigating issues with the Tranquility cluster.

You could pull a Microsoft and just rename it "EVE Offline". Probably be about as commercially successful as Windows 8, too. |

also, i remember patchdays with most of the day downtime and few days after unplayable... so i'm won't whine about a few minutes more =)

Its funny that when i initially saw them say the whole process would take 40 minutes, i laughed inside.
Also nice to note, is they wait till 7 minutes after deadline before they think to inform the community they will not be up before the deadline.
CCP, why can't you learn from Scotty, always give a longer time, that way you look awesome! Yet you never learn, and always have to extend your up-time ETA 3-5 times EVERY patch. Why not just learn from your own failed past and stop trying to be so bloody optimistic.

LOL! Just say we expect downtime to be 2 hours when you think it will only take 40 minutes... Good customer service means setting the 'right' expectations. Its better to over estimate than under estimate. Also why not make it fair and schedule some deployments during other time zones peak times? I seem to see a pattern of discrimination here.
