Ok here is a thought for all player.
Who would like to see all gates protected, to stop gate campers.
OK yes will admit that once into a system you take your chance. But at least let players get in to them and not get killed dead as soon as they come through a gate.
A lot of the time you do not even get a chance to try to lock a target, let alone shoot back.
So lets see who agrees with this thought.

That would screw the pirates. Sounds like you just got killed for the 1st time and arent coping. Eve isn't always a safe place..but once you get used to it you'll be fine.
This is a VERY bad idea. I vote "NO"

Bad idea. Not only would it completely eliminate the pirate profession, it'd make travel even more boring

Don't be ridiculous. There's half a dozen people on this thread alone who want to PvP; just get in touch with one of them and arrange a time and place somewhere in 0.0.

... Am afraid they may be all busy mining/ trading and thus afk, so it can take a while before they respond.... :s

Im not a PvP, i admit i have killed a fair few people, but i spend most of my time hunting rats, trading, and a bit of mining.

Your idea would lower that average ppl online from 4500 to 2000..its truely a terrible idea..i mean c'mon 99% of empire space is safe, and i can travel around 0.0 for days and not see another person in local
Its not that to be smart and use your map to avoid pirates..sure we all die occasinoaly, you gotta live with, it's part of the game, and always will be

Pirates are a pain in the arse for sure but without them life in Eve would be dull. You want a safe life stay in the safe zones or go play E&B.

I am going pirate soon. I have not yet. ALL my freinds. who are NOT PvPers. say mOo and other pirates that camp gates are what make EVE fun. Even when I'm just around traveling. I make a note to tease the gate pirates. why? because they cnt kill me! Why? BECAUSE I AM NOT A IDIOT WHO IS AFK WHEN I AM WITH THEM.
Ok How hard is it to NOT get killed by gate pirates? About as hard as comming out of warp, and double clicking on the nearest planet.
How EASY is it to get killed by gate pirates? Turning Auto-pilot on, and going to your other 5 computers and resume miening while your indy, is on it's way back to the station.
Ok... I have lost "ONE" ship to a gate pirate. Umm WOW! ONE SHIP!!!
Why? Because I fell asleep on auto-pilot, had I been awake, I would have laughed at the guy, and went past him.
OK, so now... we have discovered... IT IS EASY TO LIVE.
Let's build a list of ways to get killed at PC gates.
1. Go to bed while on auto-pilot across FD-MLJ, PF-346, Obe, and back and forth for 3 times.
2. Set auto pilot trough FD-MLJ, PF-346, or Obe and go to each lunch.
3. Set Auto pilot up trough FD-MLJ, PF346, or Obe and come troll on the forums saying how much gate pirates suck, while we kill you and you dont notice it.
4. Set Auto pilot up trough FD-MLJ, PF346, or Obe and think we wont kill your indy.
5. Set Auto pilot up trough FD-MLJ, PF346, or Obe and think we will be nice, and not kill you because you got a sexy avatar.
6. Set Auto pilot up trough FD-MLJ, PF346, or Obe and tease us on the forums, and think we wont kill you, and do evil morbid things with your corpse.
Ok. Those are about the ONLY ways, you can DIE at a gate. If you died at a gate useing any of those, and complained... you should DIE AGIAN.
Jeez, Some of these carebears are too damn much for me. I am not a Pro PvP person, but in this game, I can Role Play a true pirate. HAR HAR. Comments like that are just sheer idiotic, and stupid, and did I metnion? STUPID? Did you get podded with no clone? Because, I think your learning skills are definatly at 0.
