I can't wait for mine. I also took out the subscription on the 6th. Does anyone know if I'll get those postcards with it too?
Anyone willing to donate their postcards to me?

Yup, I have the page that came with my EON issue 2 here and it says "If you subscribed, girth was firther increased with your siz free postcards, which we'll hope you'll put to good use". Only for subscribers, it seems.

Yes, I did subscribe (4 copies for one year), but I think I did it on the 6th. It says you must subscribe before the 6th to get the postcards. I just hope that I get the postcards anyway.

Edited by: Dante Chusuk on 07/01/2006 09:53:39 Well yes as a few others have noted E-ON 2 has arrived. The Factional War item is ... intriguing especially some of the implications of "logical warfare" missions and the like.
Nyphur's tanking article I am still reading through but seems very well written and hopefully will give me a bit more insight to the armour tanking side of things.
Digi has once again done an excellent write-up of the Battleships available, I'm kind of glad I have been using my Tempest, Typhoon, Raven and Scorpion in a "good" way. Gallente I am still learning and Amarr I am "considering" (more heavily after Digi's article).
I was never a person for CCGs though I did play Magic at school (before they broke the rules imho), also Dune and Star Wars for a bit ... but Eve CCG looks ... well shall we say "intriguing"?
The only other item I have read so far (and I had to resist the temptation to jump straight to it) was The Eighth Plague. Once again HG/Istvaan takes us on a trip we are unlikely to forget in a hurry. Personally I felt the story was well paced, even the part where the mains are travelling you get the impression of the distances they are crossing. I don't want to go into too much so as not to spoil it for those yet to receive their copy (or not being a "chronicle" fanatic like me haven't dived straight to the stories). All I can say is a great twist, the twist was expected but the way HG/Istvaan carried it through wasn't ... All I can really say is that if I made half as much progress on my own novel as HG does on his offerings I would have been finished by now

I must admit, I read the factional thing and my jaw literally dropped. "Oh my ****", I believe is what I said ^^;. And it's coming in kali, it's not way off. Now if I can get a clone vat for my POS I can put a jump clone there and avoid amarr space altogether so I can finally get to -10 with the amarr without being bothered by it.
And my article is mostly about armour tanking so it should be useful. RMR changed a few things so there are innacuracies in there. Also, I think I made a small mistake or two but nothing serious. The spreadsheet will be updated and out as soon as my corpmate can get me the info from the last eve data export. Shouldn't be too long.

Packaging looks the same to me, tbh.
Can't comment on the quality of the articles as I haven't read it yet, but I'm hoping for a serious improvement over Eon #1.
If not, then I save $15/quarter -- ** There are some men that things should not come to know ** |

Well those are the ones I've got, so I'd guess so
Also looks good so far! Packaging much better too this time round!
The problem is tho... how long can I ignore my gf for with my shiny new mag to read

Nyphur thanks for the response on the article, I'll have a closer read during downtime. Also the ship names are on the reverse of the cards with the "show info" description I think I have a postcard of my favourite faction ship *bounces* ... errr ok time to act 27 again ...
Anyway back to the content ... if I can rip my eyes away from the Black Nova advert at the back ...

Originally by: Dante Chusuk Edit: And having read the article I now have to read the website article about Command Ships as I soon(Ö?) hope to be flying a Nighthawk instead of my Ferox in support of my corp's Also having finished the article I like the "correct" maths pointing out the if you already have 50% resists then a 50% increase takes you to 75% damage ... because yes halving the half damage you are already taking makes it quarter damage ... 25% leaks through
Thanks :). There are too many misconceptions about tanking. I think I made a mistake and you can take hull damage with less than 20% armour but I can't be sure. I don't let my armour get that low ^^;. Those fleet command ships are monsters, though. I wish they used skills I have. It'd be like training for a HAC all over again to get them. Instead, a corpmate is getting one and he can tank for a change ;).
