Holy mother of God. How can anyone fly a ship worth 60 billion?

I'm a full time devoted carebear, and I've heard enough horror stories to know that bling ships are walking dead ships. But that Navy Raven makes the average bling look cheap. Gankers estimate loss in ~60 billion, killmail estimates it in 44 billion.

In one hand I feel bad for the guy (you must really be very carebear to buy almost the best possible tank) but on the other hand... he should had known better. All what his tank needed to die were numbers.

Auntie Ish advice to carebears: don't fly bling ships. Seriously. Violet = poo.

So far his only rebuttal as been to give us all 1bil bounties.

Highsec clearly needs to be made safer, or missions done by 60bil isk ravens need to be buffed to compensate the pilots for their risk

Just made some maths... @550 million per PLEX, we're talking about spending the equivalent to 1,600 euros in a ship + 900 in bounties. Kinda outrageous for some space pixels.

In this case, the guy was mugged of [if the quote is correct] 1,600 Euros. Ever heard the saying: dont fly what you can't afford to lose? Well, that goes for everyone -10 euros everytime you lose 300m isk. Can everyone afford to just throw 10 euros on pixels?

Clearly a group of players, delighted in stripping this guy of 1600 euros. Wonder if they'd grin from ear to ear if a misc bank transaction took 35 euros of all party members involved and deposited it back to said carebear.. interesting thought..

The only reason why that Raven cost 60 bil was because of what players will pay for those modules.

We are the players.

So we are the ones responsible for that Raven costing that much.


It's dumb all around.


Now the question I think of is, were there so much intended botting and nullsec ratting in carriers expected that such a ship would be possible?

So that a ship, the hull costing less than 1 billion, can be equipped to the level of costing 60 billion, is an indication that nullsec may be in need of a loot nerf.

Strangely enough, too much ISK in the game creates the potential for these modules to cost so much, but these modules create the incentive to have so much ISK in the first place.

Thus I would also suspect that being able to NOT engage the Sansha Mothership in highsec incursions and just grind away should also be addressed.

Except the SNI is nowhere near as efficient as the RNI for Lvl 4 PVE.

I thought they were only really used by the pilots of supers .....
deadspace & regular faction mods I can understand on mission or normal pvp boats if you feel space-rich enough

Lets pretend ur a big industrialist the multi boxes a mining fleet. Or make billions in the market. Ur wallet has 900 bil and u stopped really trying to make more because whats the point. Or hes too busy running his law firm in RL to play more than an hour or two a day.

Hes got the money to throw away and it has little meaning to him. U guys will cry about 60mil loss but its only a small nuisance to him

This player may not enjoy more efficiently running 2 bs missions. He enjoys having the most bling ship he can without hassle of multi boxing. U guys think hes a stupid eve player but hes already won eve or life and now hes playing pixel ships the way he wants not the way the forums say he should

Top deadspace stuff is standard on supercarriers, but officer stuff is pretty much titans. Or mission-running ships in highsec, apparently.

I don't think purple weapons are worthwhile over T2 for almost all applications, since that prevents you from using T2 ammo, and getting bonuses from the X Specialization skill.
