Well how about become a wealthy trader - manipulate the markets and control the trade hubs? Sounds good you say - but again, that takes a lot of time but in a different way. But - yeah - would like to do that
Then after you have amassed your billions - what would you do with it?
If you want to keep it - you SHOULDN'T do this else this will happen Ship down
So what would you do with the cash?

I have three goals in EVE:
1) Amass a collection of ships. I want to own every possible Sub Capital class ship in the game. (There are some I know I will never get my hands on as there is only one in the game etc etc).
2) Fly a Phoenix Dreadnaught. (Yes I know they suck and they are hopelessly outclassed, but I like them gorramit and I will make them awesome again  ).
3) Now you'll just have to wait and see  .

I aspire to one day become a nameless cog in a massive complicated machine that thinks me neither unique nor special and cares little for my small individual goals unless they cause trouble for the group. I can then leach the trickling ISK and protection offered by said machine and levy it to my small inconsequential advantage in my various day to day activities collecting minor victories in which I can hang my hat on. When the goals that I accomplish do not impress others I will base my self worth on said group that I am in and will defend its superiority ruthlessly while vehemently decrying all others in the hope that I personally will be considered as exceptional as the some total efforts of everyone which drives the machine. Anyone one who states this is not the case will be categorized by me internally as jealous of my success.

My goal is to ***** constantly until CCP upgrades a "SULACO" class Assault Ship into the game so I can frequently launch significant nuclear munitions towards planetary surfaces and watch entire herds of DUST bunnies get roasted -- and I want the mushroom cloud animation to go with it, along with a lovely HUD display flashing across my screen indicating the body count.
Oh, the bunnies get absolutely no warning at all.
It's the only way to be sure.

I want Loss Mails...lots of them... I want to be at the very bottom of the rankings, the lowest of the low.
I can't afford to fly Shiny ships in the mass quantities that I'm talking about here, so I basically fly around and pick fights with the cheapest outfits... frigates, destroyers, the occasional cruiser.
Now I won't roll over mind you, I will fight... but only if I'm assured a defeat.
3 to1, 5 to 1... make my day and hot drop me, clones are cheap.
Sadly most folks just run away from me, using words like "Bait" in local.

Fun. It's all about fun. I'm easily distracted by shiny objects so what fun means can change every day. Sometimes it's mission running, sometimes it's making stuff, sometimes it's drunkenly wandering around in a wormhole in a SB and forgetting to BM the entrance. Even getting blown up can be fun sometimes... having your frig chased across ten systems only to die in a ball of fire as you derp into a warp bubble can be awesome. (and I'm sure it made their day a little more exciting as well). ISK is nice, but it's really only there to enable you to purchase more toys to play with. Learning how to use new toys is fun too :) |

Since family, job, skiing, climbing and surfing all come before EVE, the best I can hope to achieve (and frequently do) is tears of rage when once again, sort of half knowing what I think I am doing but actually not knowing what I am actually doing, I lose another shiny ship to someone who actually plays the game :-P which is, of course, not just inevitable but my own damned fault.

Up until a few weeks ago my goal was to reach 200 level 5 skills. The new goal is to reach 200m SP without training capitals or PVE stuff. It will be quite a challenge as it may not be enough skills available to do that.

I was really hoping to steer the discussion (with the ship down link) to what would you spend your cash on since anyone/everyone seems to get a "nerd hard on" by blowing up ships that have purchased alot of bling. Tears aside (which the last blinged up CNR DIDN'T give) what do you spend your mountains of isk on if it ain't shineys?

everybody is excited about those killmails, I say its ****, such a ship should have died in a cool battle... now some kids just popped it, thats just stupid...
still requesting arenas and leagues where all ships in possession can be used in battles without loosing them
most of the greatest ships in the game are just lost in stupid ganking action... nothing cool about that unless the ship was used before that in action various times
competitive gamers will never join the game if you have to grind hours to loose a ship within seconds
however if you grind for hours and can use a ship in some arenas numberous times, that would make sense
now tons of ships just dock at the hangars because nobody wants to bring them out because of those ganking mechanics
bring those ships to use in some true competitive environment, thats what I say
by the way blasting the last goon out of the universe is my goal, to be done until 1. October

Aside from that, I've always had an obsession with the Naglfar. I doubt I'd ever use it for anything, because I'm just not a part of the game where these ships matter, but maybe just to sit in it. ;) |

competitive gamers will never join the game if you have to grind hours to loose a ship within seconds
however if you grind for hours and can use a ship in some arenas numberous times, that would make sense
now tons of ships just dock at the hangars because nobody wants to bring them out because of those ganking mechanics

Fireing up my PC at home, enjoy the beauty of eve on my 3 widescreens. Sometimes I open up a cold nice beer and simply enjoy the view.
Even rarer I look at my wallet and decide to have some fun by seeing a ship burning. I buy that thing, find myself a fight, loose the ship and go back to my daily business.
There are even these times when I get daring and scan myself around through several WHs just to see where I pop out in K-Space again. Many times my ship dies with my pod, but its still fun. Some POSes have hillarious names.
Is this more specific?

I don't have any fantastic end game goals as EVE isn't really the kind of game which works that way.
I have set myself small goals over the years as well as some longer term ones.
One I have spent the last five years working towards when I am not living in NullSec is getting my Caldari State standings to 10.0 and as many of the member corps as I can.
