I like this thread because it serves to highlight just how thoroughly out of touch with the community he is. It should be pretty apparent to most people at this point anyway, but just in case they weren't aware previously they are now.

edit: anyway i spent a ton of effort on this aswell, i'm glad to see devils being relisted, however i do still think that the channel needs some updating.

If you'd like to setup some kind of revenue sharing thing with the channel I'm sure we could still find a way to drive traffic to your site so all your hard work wont be for nothing.

No angst. Just calling you out on your claims that you have the ability to actually impact all of the mercs listed in the channel. Being able to beat down Marmite is a far cry from being able to do so against other groups that are designed to actually fight rather than camp.

The problem is that Rebirth. was well-known to have caused issues in the channel ,and Kai86, the CEOof Rebirth., actively boasted that he **** on the channel with his scamming. He talked about how easy it was to scam people out of ISK, and also that given the chance, he would do it again without hesitation.

I'm sorry Devils got shafted, but you take the good with the bad when you bring a corporation into the alliance. It wasn't exactly a state secret that Rebirth. had done this in the past--I believe I mentioned it both in the Marmite Collective thread several months back and when Rebirth. was brought into Whores in Space, though I'll also stipulate that when Rebirth. joined Whores nothing happened to them.

I don't know. As I said, you take the good with the bad, and you brought in a group led be a child who thinks it's hilarious to scam people in the merc channel. As far as I'm concerned, the integrity has been upheld, bud. Sorry you get shafted in the process.

Devils is relisted and for a good reason.

Even though RB have done a lot of scamming in the past, it's not a reason to remove devils, since RB is not taking contracts.
There'd be better ways you could work around it, besides it's going to be raz problem if/when RB scams.

EDIT: I also mentioned that Kai86 said that in a heartbeat he would scam in that channel again, and he isn't afraid to use alts to do it (hence why the original blacklisting). But hey, I've been told I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to Rebirth.

I think the best way to improve the merc channel after this chaos has been cleared, is to remove aleks from modship and get someone with an unbiased opinion of mercs with some actual merc experience.

Last time i checked, kai wasnt the one who scammed out of mercs...it was uncle bao. Quit being butthurt that you didnt make the cut in rebirth and, oh whats the phrase, got shafted.

The banning happened before Uncle Bao came in and showed Kai how much of an idiot he is. Unless Kai86 is Uncle Bao (Kai86, by the way, is the one named as the scammer by Mercs Contracts, not Bao) then I think you should walk away, Jason Hardwick.
