Artillery maybe, but autocannons?! Why the hell add a velocity penality, why isn't blaster ammo getting a hit for speed too?
Hell, is it a new trend? Can't replace 2 years stats so we add speed penality on everything?

have standard ammo fitted, if u see that t2 ammo would be an advantage, while mwding and locking the target change to t2 ammo, penalty doesnt hit til its in ur launchers
would only be worth doing if ur not gona start shooting for 10sec though

I won't use barrage, they might see it's decent and nerf it to -75% tracking, -50% speed and give it a armor HP reduction? shesh...

THREE? comon CCP this is really stupid, not only do we have to deal with having the lowest damage guns, but hey at least we got cap!! o seems it doesnt recharge now, owell at least we got nice tracking cos we're close range, o wait no tracking now either.

It's not like alot of Battleships other than Caldari have the range to lock at 300km anymore with the stacking of sensor boosters..

damn, i thought i buy some T2 ammo to test some things out.
So here i put them in my cynabal, i'm using cap boosters so the cap is not a real problem. Tracking hmm, nerfed for 50%...
But the speed, wtf?? I loose like 50% of my speed now with using 4 times that hail M ammo. I hope they don't expect us to use normal ammo, get in range switch to T2 ammo?? I mean how on earth should we use T2 ammo if we can't get close? And barrage ammo has like no nerf but a boost in range wich is good but hail??? I can even fit 2 rocket launchers, if i would fit it with precision missiles i would even go slower? Meh, don't like T2 ammo now. I hope it is pre-nerfed though.
Pfrt i hope they at least look at it, i ain't using T2 ammo over T1 ammo though.

Right now amarr is yber alles in t2 ammo stuff, why?
can you say "instant ammo change"?
other races need to wait 10 secs, thats abaut 4000 DPS worth of time in close range guns 
Maybe ofcorse not ravens, they dont need to move an inch, just warp in and spamm away.

hmm did some test, with the HAIL L.
Tested it on a bs, orbitting @ 10km. Once with EMP L and once with HAIL L. The tracking nerf together with the speed nerf compensates, so that the transversal together with the tracking keeps together. With other words if there wasn't a speed nerf, i would probably miss more. the T2 ammo does roughly 1/4 more dmg, but this is on a tanked BS not that heavily but just tanked. So all in all it's not bad, but it would only work if you could insta switch ammo when you where at youre target. Because 6x times the T2 ammo nerfes youre speed with 50%+, so if you wanna get close with a mwd it takes more time then T1 ammo.
So yeh, but still the cap recharge nerf together with all that is a bit too much for just 1/4 more dmg. Someone will probably make some statistics of T2 ammo (i hope), because i don't think this is what it should be or is it?
If you look at amar, they have shield nerf, bit of tracking nerf, and more cap usage. I could live with that if i could use T2 guns. But minmatar ammo nerves everything, doesn't like a fair trade to me though

CCP, wtf did we minmatar pilots do to deserve this? Speed nerf? Close-range ammmo for close-range guns for the race with highest base speed in game gets one of their two main strengths nerfed? Isn't price, tracking reduction, cap regen penalty and skill reqs enough?
I actually used hail in combat once with success: I attacked an npc hunting deimos with rupture, and I used emp because hail basically sucks now. It mwded out of my range and warped to a nearby asteroid field, and by pure luck I managed to warp to the exact same location at the exact same time, so I had time to switch ammo to hail in warp and finish it off when we landed 4km from each other. Anyone with a shred of pvp experience knows how unlikely this scenario is :/
My thrasher with hail moves at about 250 m/s with mwd. 60-70 m/s without. Not to mention it has so weak cap regen it can't even run a 20km warp scrambler continuously.
I mean, ok, tracking sucks. That's obvious, something has to offset the awesome damage. And cap recharge gets a nerf. Ok, I can understand that, although it's way too harsh on thrasher. Conflagration and Void has 25% penalty to cap usage, and minmatar guns don't use enough cap to make a similar penalty significant. Cap regen is one of minmatars weak points and especially with mwd on, so you're sealing us more into passive tanking and fast strikes than before. I'd be willing to sacrifice that for the admittedly awesome damage output of hail ammo. But speed!? On top of these two other penalties!? Speed is our main strength, you can't take that away from us! Do you think we can choose to use another ammo when we're facing megathrons and apocs/geddons with Void and Conflagration, do you think emp or barrage has any chance of keeping up in dps whatsoever? Do you think tempests with hail (or any other ship with hail for that matter) can compare to their gallente and amarr conterparts who can use high-damage close range ammo without completely forsaking one of their two main strengths?
Yes I understand hail was overpowered when the cap penalty was given as a bonus instead. You fixed that. No need to penalize us for your mistake by making the ammo nearly useless instead of balancing it to the level of void and conflagaration. ___ Autocannon lemming |

The bottom line is that its our, the player's fault.
CCP wanted to make T2 ammo completely useless unless attacking a POS, and after seeing people do well with certain types, they realized the nerf wasn't harsh enough. Javelin will be ruled an exploit pretty soon probably.
Sarcasm aside, T2 ammo is by far the biggest cluster**** I've ever seen. It's nice that CCP decided to add 'siege' ammo. Really, the handful of people who need to kill a pos faster are thankful, but how about you make T2 ammo something that isn't quite so.. retarded?
Here's a (heavily mentioned) idea: EXTRA EFFECTS. charges that do same/less damage as normal, but do mini-neuts to enemy cap, or minor speed loss for a second, charges made for speicifically hitting shields hard, any shields, and armor not so much (like a disruption effect doing some small % of non-resisted damage). Some things would be exclusive to certain weapon types, like energy turrets would have the best cap damaging skill, projectile could get the best armor/shield specific ammo...whatever, just something, anything other than this worthless garbage we have now.

I'm actually surprised that the minmatar are surprised. After all, you'd think that after all those other minmatar nerfs/shortcomings, just one more wouldn't make that much difference ...
