Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original, not the ridiculous and utterly pointless remake).

"evil dead 2" would be my true love & "event horizon" would be my second choice.

Meh, not a bad movie, but not really scary. I expected a lot more from it. Ringu is A LOT scarier, and event horizon too.
but still: EVIL DEAD FTW!

Make me one as cute as yours and ill use it
And horror movies...problem with a lot of them, is once you see the bad guy it makes you laugh...like in 'The descent' all we could do was make 'gollum' noises when we saw the bad guys!
Back to a childhood one, IT scared me big time when i watched it as a kid.

Halloween.
Saw 2 is the scariest thing I have seen in the last few years though.
Nightmare on Elm Street gave me nightmares for weeks when i was 7, but it's pretty comical to watch nowadays. Quick mention to "It" here as well. |

Alien .. no doubt.
Chest bursting parasectic organisms .. face huggers .. Geiger designed monster.. maniac android crew mwmbers ... the daddy of the 'film is over .. ahhh no it's not .. but now it is' double ending. This film is classic horror with no margin for comedy.
