Well Ive finally got a crusader again and I was wondering how to fit it post RMR. I use to have it set-up like this
High 4x Dual Light Pulse II
Med 1MN MWD II, Warp scrambler
Lows (this is the part im no longer sure on Small Armor Repairer II, Cap Relay, MAPC and 200mm nanofiber plate
My main question is how were armor plates changed after due to the rmr patch and will it affect my ship in combat? General comments on my set-up are welcome (constructive comments only)

I use a heat sink and then the best adaptive nano I can afford.
You figure the higher resistance means less damage, so you need less cap to repair the less damage, and since you're taking less damage, you don't need an armor plate...
Also, with the new armor skills, a adaptive nano has even better resistances...
Also, it flys really well with just 4 pulse or even 4 gatling pulse...
You're getting 1300 m/s, so the pulse range isn't a problem. |

Armor plates increase your mass, a higher mass means that your ship's agility is worse. Acceleration is lower, turning around takes longer.
The Crusader has the lowest mass of all inties, afaik, so it is not that hard affected than other inties by fitting plates.
I am not sure how you will do against other 3 midslot inties, they can dictate the range with your setup and I dont think you can outdmg a blasteranis

blastertaranis and AC claw can be problem if they are plated... but then again it is down to skills mostly.
But while plated taranis handles like brick, crusader is doing fine. Oh and u don't need much range dictating with scorch ammo:)

Well, crusader will also handle like a brick if webbed ^^. And how will scorch S help under 10km? Medium pulse t2's will get like 10km optimal with scorch, you wont manage to stay out of web.

nanofiber plates are no longer the lightest, you want rolled tungston.

This set-up sounds better however I dont seem to have the powergrid to fit it I would need a few levels in advanced weapon upgrade just to stick t2 armor rep on (just about to buy the skill) but I would have 0 pg left so my new idea for lows would be:
Small Armor Rep II, MAPC, Cap Power Relay, Named Energized Adaptive Nano.
What do you reckon not really looking at that many solo encounters but small gang ops. Hoping that all fits cpu wise but it should no problem.

since no one's posting, and it's been awhile, here's a setup I like
4xGatling Pulse Laser II 1xMWDII 1xFleeting Web (90%) 2xHSII 2xCPR (might need named here)
you do need good cap skills, and even at relatively high levels your caps won't be stable, but about 60 seconds is all you'll ever need... tank is non-existent, but your damage is your strength... you should be able to orbit at 2700m (just under optimal) at about 1800m/s, hitting any MWDing inty for 80% or better... simply DPS wise, a base claw (no plate/res boost) will die in about 15 seconds once your orbit is established... of course, you wanna pick your fights very carefully, perferably as part of a gang, and in some cases you may choose a 7.5km scrambler rather than the web

What do you guys think of this?
High: 4x Medium Pulse Laser II
Mids 1MN ABII, Names 7.5km Scramble (cant remember the name...fleeting?)
Low: MAPC, Small Repper II, 2x CPR.
I think with my skills I had a 6.8 somthing damage mod in the lasers. Thoughts for this as a solo hunter?

And how u want to hit any ceptor without web ???. Also putting on pvp fit any cap recharge mods is useless, fight is to quick that cap mods give any advantage its waste of slots. As for me cruseder best works with snipe fits. Dual beams, mwd scrambler, small repper aux nano and forget last one slot. Its has avarge dmg but can fight with any inty execpt crow

You'd get over 10km with the enhancer with Scortch. Been a while since i flew a Crusader though as solo it always tended to get blobbed and died, still i sent my fair share of Taranises packing with it (but totally fail to kill them cause they just ruuuuuuuuuuuuun)

How would you kill anything in that, that setup is terrible
And as far as plating, you could always be like hanns and get a fill slave set + 8% armor implant and have like 1300 base armor.

well it needs a web for a start, unless you want to be a dedicated tackler, in which case fit for >10km anyway.
any other frig with a web could dictate range to you, which will get you yarrbq'd.
i dont have much experience with amarr intys, so i dont know exactly what setup would own, but webbers ftw.

To not have a web is the key to the win against other close range inties.
Gatling pulse t2's ftw also
a blasteranis will start to hit you when he is at 60% armor, your 200mm plate is enough to finish it off before he kills you.
There only total close range or 10km+ fights, in close range you "exploit" the tracking of the gatling pulse t2's and if he is longrange ... make a quick move and warp off.

Ok i tested gatling crusader on blasterranis. My setup was 4xgatlings mwd, scramble plate 200, small reper, enegrized nano, aux. Tech2 when possible. So he has 3x blasters, nos mwd,web scramble plate, aux last one i dont know
He strated to webbing me and going on his optimal. Such a amazing thing that he hits me almost nothing, i ate half of his armor when he ending shield. He dont know whats going on so he started to orbit on 500 m i hope to better hitting but then he didnt hits me anymore and gatlings goes nicely through hes structrue. Heh this setup is really amaznig hows it deals with dogfighters. I think that his only chances is lowernig speed but then i would hit him also much more. Even nos wont help him much because fight longs 30 seconds. I ended with 60% of my armor without using small repper :)

I'm going to assume you meant 200mm, or is there really some skill set that would allow all that to fit?

my current set up is: Hi: 4x Dual Light Pulse T2 (Scorch & MF Crystals ) Mids: 1 Named MWD 1 Warp Disruptor Lows: 1x CPR 2x Power Diognostics 1x Co-Pro
This is my Fleet set up. If im tackling put Scorch. If ganking I put MF crystals. I dont solo. I learned it the hard way.

why you need power diagnostics I don't know, but the only thing I can think of is that you might be thinking of medium pulse lasers?
anyway, I won't assume anything, so instead I'll look at your setup as is... power diagnostics do a few things: boost caps and cap recharge, boost shield hitpoints and recharge, and boost the powergrid... for this they take 20 CPU... since you're fitting an inty, and not one that really takes great advantage of shields, I'd suggest that you go with a MAPC if you need one, as it adds far more grid, and CPRs for your cap bonuses... however, I don't see how you need any extra grid as is... in fact with my maxed out fitting skills, I have room to fit everything no problem, and add a repairer, and loads of CPU for everything you want... hell you could fit 3 CPR2s if you got your hands on some
also, as far as dual light pulse lasers, their higher fitting costs are rarely worth it as compared to gatling pulse lasers, especially seeing as gatlings will actually give you higher DPS (in theory and practice)... gatlings have one disadvantage that few other guns face, and that's almost non-existent falloff... but with scorch ammo you can get them to 9km, while with MF you'll have a 3km optimal... the important thing with gatlings is to keep your target below your optimal, not right around it, as this will prevent accuracy loss (great tracking on those guns helps)
another thing I've heard a lot of people say is to avoid co-processors on inties, as they give such a small bonus it's usually a waste of a slot, and can be compensated for by shifting arround some other fittings (in this case the 2xPDS)
didn't mean to single your post out, just some general ideas coming from my experience regarding crusader fittings

1x Small arm repper(named) 2x Cap power relay 1x PDU T2

This is a most unorthadox setup, and its for ratting.
4x Medium Pulse II's w/ multi's cold-gas ab small armor repairer II, heat sink II, MAPC i have less than 1 MW left on pg, and about 5 left on cpu, its a very tight fit.
so far, ive killed up to 2 mil sansha rats, and a few angel bs's, solo, and fairly quickly. with my skills, etc.. i have a damage mod of 7.149 and RoF of 2.42.
obviously this isnt worth a **** for pvping, but its really nice for ratting. |

You don't have the cpu for a 20k.
You freely admit that you have no experience with Amarr inties but still feel the need to diss my setup.
In which case i will refer you to Mr Rift Scorn and Mr TWD who i sent packing in a Crusader fitted like this.
Mr Scorn infact engaged with another Taranis (one blaster one 125) and they both ran away in structure. We had a nice chat about it at the London meet this weekend.
If your objective is to win fights this setup works.
Your targets can always run away and there's nothing you can do about it with only 2 medslots. Unless you wanted to be really stupid and fit no speed mod :)
Having said that, you dont really need the tracking enhancer, you can swop for a Nano and you have your cpu for a 20k disruptor, or switch the AB for an MWD.

I think its pretty clear what it is, but the fact that you come running into a thread posting a killmail on me really tells the tale doesnt it? At the end of the day, ill fly any ship with any setup that turns me on. This happened to turn me on, and has done so for about a year, give or take.

so much hate i wasnt trying to make fun of you, i was really curious as to how autocannons on a crusader would work better than lasers? especially considering 3 of 4 bonuses on the crusader are for lasers i would've thought the advantage of using an unexpected turret on it would be outweighed by the massive reduction in damage and tracking

Minnie guns on Amarr ships are a smart choice in certain situations, you mix up your damage type, amarr ships tend to have more turret slots, and all your cap can be used for tanking.
150's are closein weapons and the Crusader's the most agile ceptor...why wouldnt you want to use them?
