Capt 69's Ferox vs crzycnck2's Brutix
Fairly long fight resulting in crzycnck2 warping away from the battlefield. Two other BA peeps in system and they didnt try and gank me, so good job to them. Gf fella.

IMO if you go into a 1v1 without a scrambler you dont deserve a kill. As long as he didnt fit WCS for a 1v1, I dont see the problem. ------------------------------------------------ Derailing threads with logic since 1992 |

Evil Edna - until you have evidence to prove we use these so-called 'Log On' tactics, please refrain from throwing the notion around. Frankly it's insulting - this corporation was not built on the use of out-of-game mechanics. The simple fact of the matter is: Our Intel and Recon > yours.
As for the original poster, if you challenge someone to a one on one then fail to attach a scrambler and/or webifier to your ship, don't expect to kill anything. Our pilots are honourable and fight true, but they are not stupid. I certainly wouldn't expect one of our guys to fly into a certain death if he could avoid it.

I wasn't asking him to, and no smack was intended.
However, in the forum post where he agreed to the 1 on 1 we both agreed on no ew, and fight to the death. He attempted to use EW, then warped away. Enough said i think.

TBH, you need to give us a play by play description of what happened rather than jsut saying he attempted to use EW and ran.

We agreed a set of rules: no EW, no bs's, and to the death, i came into local, he found a safe, asked me to warp to him, i warped in at 40km, he jammed me, i asked wtf he was doing and got outa there, he re-read post, refit, we fought again, i stripped down his drones, beat his tank and when he got to ~ 10% armor he warped out.

I used to setup for an all-in-one gig. Webber, Scram, tank, firepower... Makes little sense now that I have been playing a little. I still use a webber, to slow down fast orbiting hostiles. But, I've recently dissed the scram becuase of two things... that slot can go towards a cap recharger, target disruptor or some other module that is better suited for keeping you alive. Secondly, most of my setups aren't for tackling and as far as I'm concerned the first to pop or warp away is the loser. It's just that warping away isn't formally recorded but conceptually the target must have had good reason to forfeit his ground and bail; I think the most often reason is he feels he can not win.
It all depends on the situation really, with the best way to fit your ship. Currently, it's not a luxury of mine to freely fly solo and waste time trying to solo-gank poor saps in roid belts. So I must fit in the most offensive/defensive manner and in a team oriented sense, this means to rely on someone else to have the scrammer just as they might rely on me to be fitted complimentary.
Besides there's ways around not having a scram. My first kill in a low-sec belt involved slamming my target into the asteroid and hitting them with everything. This was the only thing I could think of to keep the target from warping, since at the time, I didn't have the skills to use a warp disruptor.

It didn't state to the death, only HAC or below and no EW.
I will take this opportunity to apologise for my corp mate using EW in the original engagement, he must have missed reading that bit of the request. I personally didn't know about the request until after the 1v1 had taken place, or this would not have happened.
As a corporation Battle Angels Inc. does not often give out 1v1 requests or accept them, but when one takes place we honour it completely. I will personally make sure this doesn't happen again, if it does then that member will be kicked from the corporation.

I strongly remember a 1v1 i had with a senior member in your corp, Kodos. I invited him to a planet i was in af, and had spoted him in enyo at a gate, so when he decides to show up its in a Raven. This was pre missile nerf and so on so kinda screwed. BAPWN well i never thought highly of the corp, That and the tactics u used well kinda lame.
So dont talk lies but maybe Kodos never told u about it.

Well as far as i'm concerned, no running means a fight to the death:
Quote: Hac or below, i.e.no bs's, no EW, no running, and no smack?
in this post: Linkage
Anyways, i think he did the smart thing. Its just from a corp whose giving us grief for running from a fight it seems a little ironic is all.

I remember this, no I havn't told anyone - because it is not completely true. It was not an arranged 1v1, I had already docked and changed to my raven having seen you and another pilot from your corp in local, leaving me thinking you were bait for him. So, I was in my raven, and you said you were at PX - I warp in and kill you, not once did I agree to a 1v1.

The pilot has been made well aware of his mistakes, and they will not be repeated. I will not apologise any further, this is down to the pilot in question. I will not make any further comments on this situation.
