Hello everyone,
My name is Vixen. I'm the owner of a small web development company. I have a vision for eve online that I'd like to bring to life. I'll spare you guys the long essay, and show pictures instead.

If any alliance CEO's are interested in this venture, you can respond here or email me at [email protected]. I can also provide a portfolio of my companies past work, and demonstrate competence with the EVE api.
I may still create this if noone is interested, and sell it on monthly payments. Eve online is all about organizing people and getting things done. This system will make it so efficient, that users of this system will be at a great advantage, and CEO's will find management of their alliance much less time consuming.
Thanks,
Vixen SoulCreative

Haha, you have no idea how much I'd like to. I would be like.. the 2nd summerset of Eve Online. I would buy my entire corp titans just so the can spin them in their hangars... well I guess they couldn't do that.. perhaps in their POS areas??
Anyway, this website, if I do it, will literally be the most complex website my company has ever made. Most companies we work with just want to tell users about their company, or perhaps sell a product. That's all simple, but you have to realize what this website can do. It will literally calculate how much a user contributes to his corp/alliance. If the CEO of the alliance so chooses, he can allow users to vote on the direction the corp goes, and each user's say in the corp will be a direct reflection of their contribution rating. Do you know how revolutionary that is? People will be recognized and rewarded not for how good they are at sucking up to the CEO, but how much they contribute! That's huge!!!!
Also, this tool will look at buy order data, and if it sees that a member of the alliance has created a buy order at a HUB of the alliances, it will notify the jump freighter pilots that they need to pick this up, and put it on the market at the HUB. Think about that. No need to request anything. Just put up a buy order, and your hauler will know!
Another feature is the fitting system. I encourage you to study it closely in the picture. You will be able to let your leader know what fit you prefer. They will be able to click on you, and see not only what fits you like, but if that fit is ready, and the location. This is going to stream line logistics, and I don't mean the logistics pilots. I mean the logistics of the entire alliance. The event system will also be revolutionary. Players will be able to RSVP, and this means that commanders will know exactly who's coming, and prepare things accordingly.
Also, the system will note the rate players who sign up actually come. Commanders will know Player A has signed up, but only makes it to 55% of the events he signs up for. This will also be tied to the contribution rating of the user to encourage users to only sign up when they will make it. Also, I think it's needless to say that those who sign up for lots of events will have a higher contribution rating. :)
Anyway, this vision I'm describing isn't something I can take lightly. If it was so easy, it would exist already, would it not? This is something a VERY large alliance is going to need to purchase. They can purchase it, and rent the system out to other alliances for a monthly fee, OR they can use it to give their alliance an advantage in this game.
I don't care. Either way though, if someone ponies up the money, the game will change forever, and I will be honored to make EVE history. :) SoulCreative

Yeah, honestly I don't know how to work out the trust issue. I think we could do it on a work-based basis. We can write up a schedule of the development process of this website. We can then create objectives that need to be completed on a time line. As each objective is completed, we receive a partial payment.
I would never do this with my clients in real life. We demand 60% up front.. but this is EVE online, and it's notorious for scammers, so I would be willing to make an exception. SoulCreative

i would say get it made get it working let people beta/test it for a week or 2 and then sell it o to someone as tbh i cant see anyone puting up 200b up front for a web vision. now buying something that is made and ready to go is a hole nother matter |

Your website & portfolio is awful!, the idea of you & your company doing this would value it very low!
On a serious side.. You spend hours creating this 'revolutionary' alliance management system (im pretty sure theres a corp management system out there) and someone will come along and make something similar, better and cheaper/free to use.
Therefor I must say "I'm Out" |

I'm not sure what portfolio you're looking at since I didn't link it. I haven't been active in this game for quite awhile. Also, yes, it's true someone can emulate this system. They would have to put in about 2 months work though. It's going to be extremely complex. SoulCreative

So I've proposed this before, and it didn't catch on? That was 9 months ago. I started a company since then. I hired developers since then. I've created proposals, signed contracts. I'm 17 years old, I've grown a lot since then. I'm looking at this much more professionally.
Like I said, I wouldn't ask that an investor pay any amount up front. Instead, we can write a time line, and add objectives. When each objective is completed, I would get a payment. This would ensure the project is completed, and nobody is scammed. There isn't much risk here. Just someone willing to agree to fund it because they have faith in the idea I'm selling. SoulCreative

So.
I just read the Thread about your previous attempt at this and i must say... You didn't learn anything did you?
Make the site and sell it or give up your little scam.
And before you say you aren't scamming, Can you prove yourself otherwise?

That being said, 100B isk is roughly the equivalent of 3,369.93 USD. A business minded person would take one look at the quality of work you have provided elsewhere, and promptly leave this thread to it's inevitable demise.

Now I suppose you will look at this char and think I am Vixen, well if you are considering this proposition then evemail me and would be more then happy to skype / video call you and share my pay pal details to prove they are trustworthy.
I would also be happy to give free advice on how to manage 3rd party developers to make sure you get what you need,
Not sure what else I can say except for ignor the haters and if you like what they offer for the price they are charging then go for it, it will be a reality.

The thing is, nothing is being offered here. The proposal is that you give OP 100B isk for something that hasn't even been created yet. Most of the services he is incorporating into his "idea" are already available for free elsewhere. If you purchased a lotto site then you obviously don't know how to use google, because the source code is available for free.
Regardless, this type of discussion does not belong in the Sell Order forum, and should be relocated by a representative of ISD. (similar to the last thread you created on this exact subject.) |

Right. If there is someone out there who has both the skills and the commitment to do this, I encourage them to do it. If not, you have me. You will need to be a web developer to understand the scale of this project. SoulCreative

Quick! save the idea and find someone that makes the site for 1/3 of the price within a few weeks. we can sell the idea before this guy manages too make it in the 6 month time span =D $$$$
This is just proof you're a troll. I also want to say that I think I can complete it in 2 months. SoulCreative

Make a product too sell or offer a service with a 3rd party etc etc ( you got this in the last post )
and the sell the product. People won't give you isk for a site you gonna start making.
There have been PLENTY of scams involving things like this

Like the others have said, you would stand a much better chance of creating the website, have people test it and iron out the leeks and then pitch it as a monthly service. IF (and its a god damn big IF) takes off and the word gets around you may just then have your 100billion.

Okay, I asked you to read through my posts and find my solution to that problem. You haven't. You need to undersatnd how immature it is that you so strongly present this argument over nad over becasue you refuse to read through the thread before posting. How can you expect anyone to take you seriously? You just make yourself look like a jerk.
Anyway, my solution is this: We will plan out the website. We will write it all down in a big document. Then we will give it a time line with objectives being completed on the website through time. As these objectives are completed and shown to the client, a small payment will be made. This way, the work MUST be done in order to payment to be received. Final payment will be made on completion of the site. SoulCreative

It has more to do with motivation. This website is HUGE. You know, I'm kinda lazy. I just bought GTA V. It's literally on right now next to me. It's hard to just develop something with absolutely no guarantee it's going to even get people to use it. I am a developer. I don't play this game. Look at my record. I have an expensive curse because I make a bunch of money in this game from the website I used to develop, but look 0 kills, and 4 deaths. I have 20m SP, and I've never been in a worm hole. I've been in null sec, but all I did is stare at the big corps that I'll never have a chance to be a part of because I don't think it's a good idea to put that much time into a game when I can be putting it into improving my life by building this company.
The point I'm making is that.. yes, when I think about being the next Sommerset or whatever her name is, it makes me happy, and I would like that, but on the other hand.. eh, GTA V is right here and involves a lot less thinking.
Having someone offer me 100b through time gives me short goals that I can achieve. It gives me someone who obviously has connections who can help me get this system into the hands of those bigger corporations. I tried to offer this idea to TEST alliance. They were complete jerks to me. They treated me so badly. Honestly, I know it's the internet and all, but EVE players can be really brutal. Having a super rich high roller in my corner will really help me out.
I guess what I'm saying is. I need motivation. SoulCreative

heres an idea make the framework, this would include the most basic things an alliance would need. - either use it as a trial or a proof of concept, (look at what ecm does)
Once the initial problems are fixed, add a couple more features to interest more people like srp ect or closed off areas for each corp to use. then start selling it as a basic service
make the other features into modular plugins, which have either a one time setup cost or monthly cost depening on what it does
create a packages which automatically have certain plugins preintstalled
be proud of what you made, sit back relax and wait for.....
Profit -ú-ú-ú-ú
you have design pictures which is all well and good but without a proof of concept and something to actually look at, im not putting forward any isk on a whim that your word is good this isn't kickstarter, this is eve and promises mean sh*t here

Well, most people who are looking to invest 100b are looking for passive profits. This website can have a monthly subscription plan that automatically makes sure the people using this website are making monthly payments to your eve account. If they don't the website will notify them they need to, and if they still don't, their account will be restricted until they do make the payment.
It can also for for a very large coalition who wishes to gain an edge in the game. I honesty don't think this tool is good for just one corp leader. SoulCreative

Hello Elizabeth Norn,
About the lottery website, It was originally $500. I actually coded for a Chinese client on the Singularity server. It fell through though and he didn't want to pay for it. As a result, I created a thread offering to sell the software I had developed. He purchased it, and then paid another $500 to update it. The update hasn't been applied yet, but as a result of the lack of update, the site hasn't been marketed very consistently yet.
You're right. His "extreme" offer was quite kind of him. It's because believe it or not, I'm a nice person. We have actually become friends as a result of working together on discussing ideas for his lotto website. Also, he's kind of a mentor. He is a director of web developers at his work, and I am a young developer who changes him cheap prices for hobby work. I asked him to reference me to show you guys I'm not a scammer. He was happy to help me.
About the 3rd party holding payment. My company requires all clients to pay US 60% up front. I am willing to make an exception with this project considering how large it is. For small projects, you will have to make the payment or we won't work with you. Honestly, business is good right now. If I wanted another project of some guy telling me what to do, I'd pick up another client. So you don't have much grounds for negotiation here. I'm more than willing to say no.
The ISK for motivation yes. And the connection. Why did you completely forget that part? I dedicated an entire paragraph to it. Perhaps its your bias that's forgetting?
The website that doesn't exist yet? I'm selling two things here. A vision, and my services to bring that vision to life. It can do great things because it's a great idea. I know how unwilling you are to offer me that little bit of kindness, but I wouldn't be in the position I am if I relied on the opinions of others to guide the confidence I put in the decisions I make. Your code is riddled with errors and CSRF vulnerabilities. If this is an example of your kind of work, I'd revisit the notion of charging 100b isk for it. And if you legitimately did get 1000$ for your work, then good on you sir. You managed to sell a polished turd to a fool.
In your forum thread back in May regarding http://scovillescale.co.uk, 30b isk changed hands on that website in a period of less than one week. Since that time, over 4 months later, that number has not increased at all.
Everything you say sounds nice. Everything you present looks fishy as hell.

Hi Vistrix Starshadow,
First thing, yes, there are errors on the SoulCreative hosted Lotto site since obviously we now work on the project at the official lotto website. You're looking at a link from an old thread. So desperate to discredit you are.
Also, yes, it did receive 30b isk in quite a short time, and then we stopped promoting the website because we wanted to do the next update for it. It has taken some time to do that update because like I said, this is a hobby project. He only paid $500. We work on it when we have time. We currently have much higher paying clients right now who take precedence.
You wouldn't know what is fishy or not. You know nothing about development or my company. You troll me this entire day trying to point out flaws for what reason? Someone with a mind that thinks in the way yours does certainly cannot afford what I'm offering here. SoulCreative

I mean no offence, but it seems from your posts that you don't really understand Eve, it is different from the real world as there is much less accountability on the part of every player. What your real life clients do should have little bearing on what your clients paying you in ISK should do. I too would say I am nice person, do you believe me? I am not however naive enough to hand over 1-100b, unless the exception you mention is that you would permit the use of a third party. You are the one asking for funding, it might "pay" to be a little more humble.
Vixen Soul wrote:

"ISK for motivation" - If you cannot see any reason why someone would, someone who is admitting that they are both motivated by ISK and "kinda lazy", after being given ISK to provide a service, not provide that service then I don't know what to say. Even with the protection apparently (I will be creating a petition to see if what GM Lelouch said still applies) offered, why would I take such a risk? I did not get what I have in Eve by taking ridiculous risks, however contradictory that is with Eve's ideals. If ISK is connections then I have quite a few, and I'm sure I have a few real connections, but all of them are far too sensible to hand out their ISK willy nilly based on what I've seen so far.
Vixen Soul wrote: The website that doesn't exist yet? I'm selling two things here. A vision, and my services to bring that vision to life. It can do great things because it's a great idea. The website you have described in this thread does not exist. Someone who wants a website doesn't want a vision ("A mental image produced by the imagination."), unless they buy into marketing tripe or buzzwords. I certainly don't want a vision, I want a website as physical as digital data can be, a working piece of software that I can view with my own eyes.

but you can't prove anything you say, and you refuse too accept any kind of 3rd party holding isk or values.
Can you give one solid reason that anyone could ever trust any ISK too you? without using your alt's? =)

You know, when I was selling my Lotto system on these forums, people made the same argument. It still sold, and look, that same buyer is in this thread saying I'm to be trustworthy. I'm tired of this. I don't care if I'm wrong and will be made to look like a fool and regret this post after a good sleep, in fact I welcome that because it depresses me less to know someone isn't as terrible at this as I think they are.

"to quote my brother, michael:"
I'm going to take one final risk in this post and point out the following. On 19.07.2013 you stated that you company was based out of the USA. Also of note is that you seem to primarily have made websites for Chinese entities, and you say you first created the Scoville Scale website for a Chinese entity.

I started learning web development a couple months before I came to EVE Online and sold websites. My boyfriend at the time was doing this with me because we enjoyed it.
Then I moved to China. I continued to develop websites. I volunteered to make the University website and they gave me free tuition. That university is the 25th largest in China. It got me lots of recognition, and as a result, I started to pick up clients, and it just so happens that I have a brother who's a genius web developer who has chosen to work full time with me on this company. We have sales reps paid based on commision in Colorado, Wisconsin, Florida, Beijing, and Hainan, China. Our company is registered in USA. This means we are based out of USA. When I receive payments from Chinese clients, the transfer is wired to an American business account. Also, my brother is in USA. He lives in New York.
I'm 17 years old as you see. I just got back after a year in China. Due to my success in China, I've been working on bringing in clients here in USA. I will get my first car in 2 weeks, and I will begin joining business networking events, and a little advertising. My contacts in China also bring in business for us. My development skills are good, but my brothers are industry standard. With his help, we have the skills to tackle any project.
My company is quite young. The portfolio I've shown you is the legacy we have left so far. It isn't much, but it's quality work. And it's growing. SoulCreative

Think as you like. As I've stated above. I'm not longer going to accept an investment. I am developing the system now. If any alliance or coalitions wish to work with us on this, it would be great. We will need some API key's to test with. I have a corp helping me now, but we really need an alliance minimum. SoulCreative

Couldn't you just spoof it? Create a web service that returns stuff formatted like the api pulls you are trying to do. You could create as many as you want and it would be as real as you wanted it to be. Its all just XML after all. |

I'm not sure what you mean.
Right now, I'm doing the authentication system. A user signed up, and then he can submit APIs. The system looks at the API and determines of its account, character, corporation, or alliance. It then acts accordingly populating the database with the data that is associated with that API key type.
So what I do is I write the function, and then I put it on the website, and run the function to see if it does what I want. If it does, I continue on to the next development objective.
Right now, I am at the point where if someone submits a corp API, the system populates the character database with everyone in the corp. Then, when a member of the corp comes, and submits their API data, they can say, oh, you are the owner of this character, and it will associate the character to the account.
This is all fine. But the thing is.. now I'm ready to do the alliance API. But, how can I test that my code is bug free without an alliance API to enter in so that I can make sure data is populating the database? I need real data. SoulCreative

This makes no sense what so ever.. Basically you cannot code?. You know what data the API (xml) will generate why cant you just code the system and use fake generated data?
Looking at the API lists, there is no "alliance" api?. You would have to pull the list of corps and then each corp would have to provide its API?

I think it's funny that because I lack experience with all the data available through the API, you think my development ability is bad.
Anyway, thank you for the information. The fact that alliance API doesn't exist saves me time. I already got the corp, character, and account type of API working, and character list already populates for user. so yeah, authentication system is done ^.^

That's a pretty good make believe system you got there, it's worth at least 200 bill i'd say. Maybe even 250. |

Fantastic. If you're not selling anything, then why not move this thread out of the sell orders. |

I believe there's not many corporations and alliances willing to dish out 100B even for a software that is complete and working, much less one that is in the planning and development stage.
If I were you and really hoping to make it work, I would make a core system that supports API registration, automatic permissions, forums, templating and extensions and make it free or very cheap to get people using it.
Main source of incoume would come from selling extensions. Whenever there is something all corporation types would not benefit, such as killboard for example, you would make it as an add-on and possibly charge.
You will earn more. |

You've tried this before... Failed.
You tried sale pitching your "company" on Facepunch... Mocked no end and even hacked. And to be honest, I've seen more professional websites for a much lower price.
You come back here with a super idea SAME pitch... Not looking good is it?
Like the others have said, you would stand a much better chance of creating the website, have people test it and iron out the leeks and then pitch it as a monthly service. IF (and its a god damn big IF) takes off and the word gets around you may just then have your 100billion.
Until then;
NOPE. If I end up making this website without an investor, I promise you it won't be sold.
You lack a common set of skills. We here in the REAL WORLD call them "Common Sense".
Common sense tells us that we do not purchase a product without trying it first. If you're looking for investors you're in the wrong profession, and you're definitely in the wrong game.
Your FP disaster pretty much proves you're a script kiddy with no real talent, who's trying to con people out of money. My suggestion, just become a scammer in JITA, it doesnt require intelligence. You can even write a simple bot to continually post your scam in local!
