I fear the vagabond on the battlefield, it's a bloody killer.

90% of Vagabond pilot don't use an armor tank.

In my experience, I prefere to have a Vagabond as HAC support over any other HAC in game. Only Vagabond and Ishtar I consider worth more than 100M, although I'd not buy any of them at that price.
It combines the best of both Interceptor and HAC worlds: speed and damage, plus it also gets some extra resistances to boot!
Advice is to fit it with shield extenders. A proper shield tank is incompatible with it's primary role (heavy tackler) as well as rather extraneous (often better have twice as much shield and quick tactical brain).

i fly the battlecruiser, its is a kewl ship just somewhat slow and it aint very agile (drives me insane)
I wont be purchasing one for 140m, its way too overpriced.
Anyone know where i can pick one up for under 100m ?

tbh the vaga is a nice ship, but just not nice enough for the cost imo, as stated before use a bc instead or even a cruiser, easy to replace, and not that huge of a difference taking the cost into the equation :O)
Rupture is still a viable ship for pvp imo, bc is better for pve though, if u can stand the "slowness" *hehe*
PS: hacs are expensive, unless u know a bpo holder, good luck find one cheap.. best price i have heard was around 50m and that was a corp thingy..

Yeah... considering that the production price with good component supplies is around 20 to 25 million... (actually, it's 18 million with a perfect market situation)

I won't pay more than 90-100m personally.
For belt ratting a muninn is as good or better than the vaga afaik.

You people are sad, you measure a ships worth in ISK. I measure my ships worth in love. I love my Deimos. I pay for it.
If you really want to fly something, cost should not be a factor.

Yes, it is.
One of the few that are worth the ever increasing price tags, tbh.
But all HACs are cool :)

The vagabond might be worth 140m, but the stupid Force Recon i bought cant use its Covert Cloak or Cyno Field, and in skills, covert ops cloak, and ship i spent 200m. It cant do anything.

I don't think any HAC's are worth it. Won't even consider training for any of them till I run out of stuff to train for or the price drops to under 50mill.
Rich mans toy. Fun to fly I am sure and good in many situations I am sure too. But unless you got iskies to waste I would only get one if you fancy using it for low risk PvE play.
If you want to PvP with it Khajit you better be filthy rich or you won't be using one for long.

Vagabond is probably the most survivable ship in the game, actually.

most expensive vaga i have bought was 115m, but i consider this price to be a 1 off on the common market, i wont pay any more than 115m for one, although they are a class ship to pilot.
i use stabbers and rupture now instead, both fully insurable and only 25% less damaging for 10% of the cost,

Its worth 140 mil if you know how to fly it.
A vagabond is a very useful tool in the hands of an experience pilot. But they aren't that easy to fly. They align slowly and their high speed gets them into trouble a lot (becuase if you are going full speed and have to warp out, you will take forever to turn around)
I wouldn't spend 140 mil on one unless you've had practice with it before. If you've never flown one before you should probably try it out on teh test server a few times before using it on tranq.

Well, the market says they are worth it.
Deadly in the hands of the right pilot. Fearsome with just about anyone flying it.
Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, etc.
Can be killed (not saying how, though it's not a great secret), but you better know what you are doing and do it fast.

The Vagabond is probably the only Minmatar ship I'd ever want to fly. She's fast, packs a punch and can take a good beating. Some of the best close-range fights in my Deimos have been against a Vagabond. They make excellent guerrilla warfare ships, outstripping everything bar Interceptors for performance. Of course they're even deadlier in a scrap.
Are they worth 100m? Debatable - it puts them between a Tier 1 and Tier 2 BS cost-wise. Scorpions, Armageddons and of course the Dominix are all excellent ships, but I doubt they are nearly as much fun to fly and effective against smaller craft as the Vagabond is. As someone who helps watch the beans in Battle Angels, 100m would be too much considering the effectiveness of it you'd get in return. However, speaking personally, I would most definitely strap-in for some high-speed Minmatar love.

It's a nice ship for sure. I mean the speed alone means that it can be a tremendous tackler in smaller group situation and most of the time the worse it should do is a "Draw."
But like all hacs it's vulnerable to vamp setups. very vulnerable actually.
Also, it's definitely not as survivable as my Eagle actually. I tanked a vaga just last night for a good 45 sec to a minute and he didn't even stratch my shield tank. Hitting for like 12 to 30 something damage wise. That dog dont hunt. AND, he ended up running when my bud in an ishtar showed up. (smart move, and the guy was from krom and a nice guy too...so no sheitalkin there).

Not the market, its CCP who says it (cause in the end they are responsible for this situation).

If you can afford to lose it, very much worth the price tag.
Very fun, and yeah not many HACs are now worth the cost. Muninn certainly isn't worth 100mil. Why Muninn when you can Tempest?

No HAC is worth 140m.
I guess its easy for me to say that though, what with my unlimited access to corp-made Vagabonds.
