I was enjoying helping my corpm8s on lvl 4 missions in my ferox. Just gonna be able to learn to FLY my first raven tomorrow...wont actually use it till i can use the missiles too :/ At least shield tank skills = shield tank skills and itll just be cruise missile operation to learn. Im quite happy that I waited so long to get into a BS. I had a friend ask me yesterday to help him do a lvl 2 mission while he was in a prophecy...I was STUNNED that he thought that it was necessary. Almost no lvl 3 mission requires me to warp out more than once especially now that the spy stash no longer has those goddamn angel t2 towers which were such a pain in the ass (what gives..hitting at like 150km) The Damsel is no longer in distress. She was rescued enough times that she got the hint and installed better security systems at home.

i saw a 30-35 day old guy in EC he was in a raven and we killed it - being a hostial corp was a bad idea ? after finding him at a planet his setup was 5x stnd launchers 2x remote armor reps 1x hull rep 2x sensor booster rest cap rechargers 1 small repper 1 damage control and the rest cap relays I really dont think him jumping to EC was a good thing and on top of it what a bad setup

i got a scorp after about 3months, then ran lvl3s, till it blew up, and used the insurance and what i'd made to buy a raven. *****d lvl4s and got hugely rich (by the end of my 4th/5th month i had a full set of +4s and a well fitted raven - back when limos sieges cost 15mil each) yup, they needed nerfing

I don't think its that unreasonable to get a BS after a month as long as you know that you're no competition for a more experienced player than you. I've been in game for a bit over a month and I got the cash for a BS from some good drops whilst ratting. In the end I got a Brutix knowing that I couldn't fly it to its best for a long while but I can make plenty more cash using it mining and doing lvl 2 missions than I could in my punisher which I could fly pretty well.

Originally by: Antiseptic OMFG hahaha David sinclair Go with that buy a dominix and fit it with nano fibers, and go to a low sec system please lol. Why would I do that? I specifically stated the silly nano-loadout was for the agent courier missions. The "Go pickup something and bring it somewhere else" missions. Obviously, it would be a less than ideal loadout for, well, anything else. Seven nano's is a good 90% reduction in inertia, which should make jumping from system to system pretty fast. Of course, if I'm worried about dealing with cowardly gankers, I'll be using a different set up. But more importantly, what's the different between me getting ganked in my Thorax vs. a Domi? My Thorax couldn't stand up to your well equipped and higher SP character. So what's the difference? As a complete aside, if I load up with those Mark I Nanos in a Domi, I could theoretically get over 100% Inertia Reduction. Does that mean the Domi could zoom around inertialess like an Arilou from Starcon? But then, it's be over 100% reduction in structure, so would that mean my ship would instantly implode upon leaving the station?

Edited by: minnmirman on 23/01/2006 19:13:50 the difference is the price. Its a LOT cheaper for you to be ganked in a thorax instead of a domi. Ive been playing for a month, and I am just now starting to fly my caracal effectively, and Ive also been just able to save up 30 million by ratting in low sec. I dont see why anyone would want to fly a bs at such a young age. I guess a child with training wheels on his bicycle wants to hop right on the man-sized ten speed, but it just doesnt work. Plus if I had a dread guristas guy drop me a 100 million isk loot, i'd save it (the money, not the loot--edit)

Once killed a phoon fitted like this. 3 small nos, 1 medium laser 4 siege 1 XL booster, 3 hardeners (all passive). LAR, projectile damage mod, random junk Mega fitted as follow (sub 1 mounth old player) Mix of medium projectiles (720's autocannons...) Shield tank, hull rep Gyrostab, WCS (he didn't warp though) small armor rep, overdrives... Mining geddon.. 7 miner 2's 3 hull reps (small) small armor rep, lots of co-pros, basic expander or two. His buddy in a mega who actually engaged me at a gate.... 7 miner 2's siege launcher Shield tank (small booster) passive hardeners, invon field (before they were good) Random useless junk in the low's 2 week old player in a mega empty MWD (wrong size) rest empty 3 basic overdrives, rest empty In his hold he had the makings of a decent combat and travell fitting, and the skills needed to use them. Ironically, in the above list only one of them were not a memeber of Xetic. I feel left out I didnt get honorable mention for my mining Raven you took out. :) tho I had 4 siege launchers and 4 miner2s, with actual shield tank in mids. So I guess im a cut above the above. I think I was 2 months old at the time? maybe 3? Now I fly around in a Harpy. Course...I was just helping my corp mate mine for his apoc. He was 4 months old at the time. My insurance had expired like 3 days earlier. it was purchased by my corp...so I didnt get an evemail about it....such is life.
