QFT. There are two types of people in Eve. Those who have seen the Aeon and know it is the ugliest ship in the game and those who haven't seen it yet. Not only is it the ugliest ship in Eve, it is in the running for the ugliest ship in the history of Sci-Fi.
Whoever @CCP thought a great ship could be made by welding half a bestower to a table should be fired immediately.

In fact, I'd like to start a petition to the Devs. Since there are no Aeons on TQ yet. Give us a redesign and make it a proper Amarr ship.

I am minnie and I hated the ships the first time I sat in them. The Scythe looks like a witch flying on a broom. Reminds me of Wizard of Oz. The Sailboat thingy on the Tempest is just wrong too.
My Favorite though is the Mammoth. It just looks tough to me. Too bad it is not a fighting ship...

Maller, damn that thing is uggly
augoror is also one of those things i'l never ever fly
crucifier also look quite uggly
but on the other hand, amarr has the omen apoc and geddon so they are on the plus side on hot looking ships

I actually like the Rupture/Muninn... they literally are a "pirate ship" if you look at it, on the back they have the galley you always see on the backs of old wooden ships, the prow and top look just like the deck, then it hydrodynamically molds down just like the bottom of an old ship into what most would consider a "handle" looking thing that actually is just like a keel on a ship... so if you wanna be a TRUE pirate, you have to fly either a Tempest, Rupture, or Muninn.
As far as ugliest.. I'd have to say.. amarr shuttle, some of the textures overlap and flash back and forth >.<

Absolutely,whos would spend so much time & money on something so ugly?? I think it should look something along the lines of the Providence, maybe 2 of them sanwiched together like a mussel with th ships spewing out the slot between :]

I like the phoon because when one of my mates is flying one I can try to park my frig inside the hangar at the front.
My vote for ugliest goes to the apoc. It looks like a badly skinned bannana.

The only thing I can figure is that the sails (and the ostrich-neck bridge and...whatever the second pylon is supposed to be) are meant to create an additional sense of mass to confuse targetting computers.
If you're shooting from above or dead-on, the Tempest has an amazingly small profile -- if you fire from along side toward center, you're libal to pierce a pointless sail or hit nothing at all.
I like to think the insanely tiny / fragile looking links between the major hull segments are there to seperate the sections upon exploding to increase the survivability of the (pre-pod era) crew in the disperate areas. Especially true for the bridge, which looks like it's set up ala Event Horizon.
Yes, I've spent way too much time trying to rationalize the Tempest.

Aye, but on a Battleship?? Its a liability more than a blessing. You would be forever repairing it after every single fight.
Not that it really matters to the game, but I couldnt fly one of those...I'd be constantly at the edge of my seat thinking my ship was about to fall apart at any second.

Well since Matari ships use Ladar, maybe the sails are actually Ladar receivers.

To whoever said the ship design in Eve is poor, dunno how to reply. I think the dev's did a fantastic job with ship design, personally. I have to admit, I bought a Maller and at first I wasn't sure how i liked the design, but now that I've flown it around a little, I do like it. The arc that forms its prow really makes it "feel" like a large ship with a crew.
