As an author of a very similar post, I'll sign. I proposed this very idea about a year ago, among the other items in my 'Wishlist' thread. My idea was that any ship, including npcs had a certain percentage change of not simploy blowing up, but leaving behind a wreak with the same duration as a jet can. The idea would be that (in my case) a tugboat with a tractor beam could come along and lasso it, and drag it to station. There you would have the option to repair it, at 100% of it's base cost. It could not be refined, but once in a hanger, it would last indefinatly until you have the isk to repair it. I felt this was a far better way to distribute faction ships then by having them drop bpcs.

shudnt be 100% of cost, but a good 90-95%, i agree with.
i would allow refining, but only in a POS assembly array (or a new "disassembly yard" or summat?)
and shud last 2x jetcann time - it hasta be fited with tug engines before the timer runs out, or it jsut disintegrates =)
