Oveur, how about adding Deadspace modules that work differently in deadspace? For instance, a Deadspace Afterburner class that gives 75% more thrust in normal space, but gives 300% more thrust in Deadspace...general sacrifice for specific gain
Could be called something cool like "#MN Quantum Drive I"
Also, Destroyer (5MN) and Battlecruiser (50MN) class Afterburners, MicroWarpDrives and "Quantum" drives could be added ---------- |

I think it means using an MWD to get up to a really high speed, but only firing it off once or twice so you coast along at a high speed without the sig penalty.
Ship bonuses that reduce grid use on abs would be cool. A thorax using a 100MN afterburner, but still having enough grid to operate guns and a tank for example.

Kiting is the NPC version of gate sniping, the tactic of moving away from rats, picking them off at range as they approach you. It's a generic term from many RPG style games, where a ranger or mage can run-shoot-run and wear down enemies that would mash them in melee.
The rationale behind stopping this is that kiting is a cheesy and risk-free tactic, where if the enemies get too close you just warp off. Forcing close(er) range fighting diversifies setups. -- Originally by: Nyphur The irony is astounding. The sheer level of raw irony here is enough to iron my clothes for a year.

Originally by: Oveur Intentional, deadspace is an environment which prevents warp so no MWD and that's not going to change. You'll eventually see more environments with different characteristics like that.
Use afterburners, that's what the rats do, they were decreased in speed, they just have RLY GOOD afterburners.
Um, if they have really good afterburners? why do they drop sh*tty ones.. Dont lie!!!!!!
