Just dropped into deadspace and my target is 150Km away! Gonna take me a while at 190m/s....why can't we have MWD in deadspace when it's obvious that some of the NPCs do?

Either give players the ability or take it from NPCs.

to me, it seems unfair that ships with a MWD bonus are screwed in a deadspace, and AC/Blaster setups aren't that useful

(just curious... anybody knows why MWD are not allowed in deadspace in the first place?)

RP reasons. You can't warp to deadspace, thus MWDs don't work in it.

I'm happy that MWD's don't work in deadspace, and that you can't warp into them. But WTF should Concord be able to then?
That completely hamstrings the roleplaying danger potential of jumping a gang mate in deadspace.

Intentional, deadspace is an environment which prevents warp so no MWD and that's not going to change. You'll eventually see more environments with different characteristics like that.
Use afterburners, that's what the rats do, they were decreased in speed, they just have RLY GOOD afterburners. Senior Producer EVE Online

Because if concord couldn't warp in then you could sit at a complex in a .5 and just pwn all the noobs who came in to it.

There would be nothing to prevent Concord from using the gate like normal mortals.

If rats use AB, how come when I pop 'em they sometimes drop MWD? Must have one hell of a powergrid and CPU to fit both to the frigates they drop out of.

Oh they do, really good afterburners...i see....hmmm why dont they drop thm then, it seems a bit surprising that they drop modules like 1Mn MWD from a npc battleship
hint...they never drop good afterburners, just the normal ones allready ingame....so oveur, what your saying is, they always get blown up

They have bonuses to regular afterburners. OMG start dropping BPCs on ships with these bonuses, please!

Make it an environment that also doubles blasters falloff then.

The reason that MWDs were banned from deadspace was to prevent "kiting".

more, some npc cannot be webbed, or jammed, all have range target rly long and more flavor to add.
In fact, deadspace is a cheatspace. Still, loot is robbery.

What are the chances of a blaster boat surviving in lvl 4 deadspace missions?
From the reports I get of the difficulty of lvl 4s at range, I imagine that chance is zero. If so, the storyline reasons for disallowing MWDs gimps 50% of turret weapons in the game and forces people to use the ranged equivalent. Altering setups is fine, but having to change from blasters to rails is a bit OTT. Especially for those who have specialised in blaster specs.

Blaster boats can do fine in deadspace. High resists = win. Fit a good named AB, or even an oversized on a HAC (sure it handles like a pregnant hippo, but it closes fast).
Blaster + tank + drones + speed = fun in DS.

Quote: if u get mwd in deadspace.. then the rats does it aswell.. mm insta pwn ?
I disagree with that. NPCs using the MWD to close wouldn't be an insta pwn since their afterburners already give them ungodly AB speed. Giving players the right to choose their own offensive and defensive tactics that they enjoy (read: It's a game) should be more important than NPCs being too easy because of a certain tactic.
