Ijust loaded the singularity Golem.... it looks worse!!!
The front looks like a hammerhead shark. the wings no longer look menacing, removing the space tumor from the right side is an improvement.... but the hull just looks weak sauce.
Vargur, on the other hand is an improvement, kronos and Paladin look fine....
FIX THE GOLEM! It really looks like a t3 cruiser crashed into the front of it..... disappointed with the new look. |

Suggestions to fix golem:
1. Angle the hammerhead fins portruding from the sides downward a bit, the flat even look is booring.
2. Give the wings a 15 degree angle upward, again too flat and booring looking. OR shorten the bend, the wings look awkward.... do anything to fix the wing angle and it would improve the look.
3. If you're going for the hammerhead shark look, make the front bigger, the back now looks TOO BULKY like it has afat ass.
4. I would push the wings back a bit,they look too far front...

Take a look at the silhouette of the raven.
Those proportion work well because it gives a sharp angle, like the letter V, it's ominous.
By giving a bulkier front, now the wings don't work as well, the ship looks tiny because the proportions are off now... |

Ship designs must fit the basic criteria:
Minmatar = Industrial spiky
Gallente = Front heavy
Amarr = Solid curves
Calamari = Really lame

I want my old Golem back.... until they fix the hull. I will overwrite the damn model file if I have to myself!
and the transformation is about as exciting as watching an elevator move.
Make it dynamic! Make it SNAP, have **** roll around the ship and armor tank it like the bat mobile! |

If you want to see the new ABOMINATION that is the new Golem, go to Singularity test server,
1. join the channel MOVEME
2. type BASTION once you join the channel.
3. Exit the channel as soon as CCP says to go.
There now you can see this little bastard for yourself.
This will give you all the skills for all 4 races to fly and try out the marauders. |

I agree sadly. I actually like the new hammerhead feature in the design but the wings just don't work flattened out like that. I wish they'd give more bulk or add another feature to the port wing. The lack of balance in the design is upsetting.
Also, colour and texture don't help. |

Golem on Singularity doesn't have light channel yet so it will look better when completed.
Anyway, dear whiners, now you know how I feel about that "New Scorpion" abomination. So there's justice after all

I could not agree more!!!
The proportions are off, the hammerhead look is actually no bad as a concept but doesn't work yet, not at all!
The wings look clumsy and awkward and the whole ship proportion is whacked!!!
If you're going to make a new hull then scrap the whole idea and go with an original design. Not some frankensteined Raven / Tengu blend.
Give it a longer body, shorter wings, make it look like a shark even more...
this is the exact feeling of anxiety I had when I saw digital Jabba the Hutt. |
