We would really feel at home then...
The problems with rmr release was like 10% of what we dealt with on a daily basis. Lets not talk about everything that broke with the monthly publishes they pushed live.

Most of us are now hard-working EVE-inhabitants I imagine :P
When SWG had the pre-pub 9 combat system it was fairly complex, although not as much as EVE. I think the old-style SWG players would appreciate the challenge in, and satisfaction gained out of a more engaging game. I certainly enjoy it.
Aside from that - EVE does customer service. SOE is the worst company I have ever dealt with in terms of CS. Someone should just nuke m before the genes can spread.

It was the same when E&B closed (DAMM YOU, EA!!!), lots of old inhabitans of EVE did't like the influx of new players (and later, CCP even needed to bring up new nodes to keep the strain on Tranquility in check, this was the first expansion on hardware side... ), hell, they even waged war against CLS, which was one of the biggest guilds in E&B, and came over in STYLE, and did the same in EVE.... I was one of these little, some weeks old frig pilots who huddled together and made a stand against the attacking Mercenary Frigates guys... I lost my Frig, but this was the last push for me to stay in Eve....
Stick together, help each others. Learn. EVE is a HELL of a game. EVE is HARSH and UNFORGIVING. EVE is a challenge. Someone of you might not be in here long. Some of you might turn against each other and put KOS on each others. EVE is worth it, even with all the current laggyness (but, as usual, CCP will handle this too, soon). EVE is just EVE.

Listen guys, I think we have learned a very important lesson here today... The whole reason the SWG folks are coming here and messing up eve, is becuase we are messing up SWG by not thinking about how to make it better somehow. I mean come on, would it really kill us to spend a little less time in EVE and more time offering advice on how to make SWG better? I'm sure if we all worked together on this, we could create a brighter SWG, a better SWG, one where the jedi can roam free and the Wookies grow up in peace?

Jedis were the pest of SWG that needed to get rid of, by Imperial order set by Palpatine. Lord Vader wiped out these whimpering examples except a very few that remained hidden like rabbits in their holes. I served the Empire as a Stormtrooper with loyalty no rebel scum could ever match. They used their feeble arguments to justify their ways of creating unrest among the peaceful people under Imperial justice. For the Emperor! Thy his will!
So..SOE shoveled SWG down the drain, needed a game that would offer challenge, ways to RP, to interact and explore. EVE was the answer, got introduced by a friend sending trial account. Hooked within one day and subscribed, not planning to leave.
Those claiming "we were here and own this etc.", pootalk! Could not care less. As many have said, EVE is what SWG should have been, not that EVE should be like SWG. The difference and almost endless possibilities makes EVE far superior and interesting and I want to live in that universe.
I am proud of the guild that I served with in SWG, Stormtrooper Detachment Epsilon. The memories will never fade, their honor never be tarnished. This is a new era, a new dawn. I am walking towards it open minded and ready to accept the challenge with a guild I will serve with same dedication I served Epsilon.
