I play this on a 22 inch tube with the 6800, and a 17 inch TFT with the X800... I have no problem with either tbh, but I do prefer my tube ofcourse, not only because it's bigger. I also use the latest (official) drivers, and I'm GUESSING (hoping?...

well, if it is the MAX your screen can go, how good you think it will perform at it's MAX... how long you think a car will run if you keep running at max speed... not too long and it won't be pretty while doing so. Heck, my screen can do 2048x153...

yes OFCOURSE it's too narrow!!!! 1280x1024 is NOT a natural resolution for a tube monitor... it does NOT adhere to the normal 4-3 ratio. for a tube you should use 1280x960. for a TFT you should use 1280x1024, they're not in normal 4-3 ratio. ...

I never had (or have) any problems with font or font size. Most of the time problems like that come from using a TFT screen (laptop?) and not setting the game in the setting that TFT requires. Simply because you didn't know you had to or because ...
